The room was great. Not allot to do on this side of the island but no where near as busy as Seven Mile beach. The all inclusive was not really worth it. Would have actually been less of we had just paid as we went since we do not drink so much. People were very helpful and always happy.

Had such an amazing experience at this resort! The staff was so attentive in every way possible. Beautiful views, amazing food, fabulous pool, had a nice Spa experience, and even did some outside excursions (which were great). We did an all-inclusive package, and I highly recommend that if you will be dining/drinking.

We booked this hotel in Grand Cayman for a last-minute trip using our timeshare points. Since most Caribbean hotels were already full, we were fortunate to snag a spot here after a cancellation. As an avid snorkeler and free-diver, I was initially disappointed upon arrival. The beachfront in front of the hotel didn’t seem to offer much for snorkeling, which was opposite of what a few other reviews I had read suggested. The water had a lot of seaweed that smelled foul, and there weren’t nearly as many sandy, clear-water patches as the pictures suggested. By the next day, conditions had improved—the seaweed wasn’t as heavy—but the clear, sandy spots on the beach still felt limited, especially compared to Seven Mile Beach. From what I learned, this side of the island tends to get more seaweed, particularly during the summer months. That said, the hotel itself is on a quieter part of the island, about 45 minutes away from Seven Mile Beach. While shopping and restaurant options nearby are limited, the hotel’s on-site dining was excellent, and the peaceful setting was a nice change of pace. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making it more appealing to dine at the property rather than going out. Additionally, we arrived during the slow season, so many of the restaurants nearby were closed in preparation for the peak season that begins in November. Overall, if you’re looking for a quiet stay with great food and don’t mind fewer sandy beach areas or a longer drive to the busier side of the island, this is a solid option.

The property is nice and lovely…it’s not your typical Mexico or Dominican Republic all inclusive. What entails is just your basic 3 meals a day(breakfast, lunch, dinner).High end meals/drinks like steak, lobster, top shelf alcoholic beverages are not included in all inclusive package, you will have to pay for them. That’s what you pay for when you sign up for the all inclusive. However they do offer the “upgrade package” of all inclusive. It’s 150.00 per person and you’ll have access to top shelf meals and drinks. Either I just think that needs to be clarified more when booking. Non the less this has been a very descent holiday. I had a lot of fun. I must really give a huge shout out to Bell Stand (bell hop/and greeter) Alexander and David the bartenders. All three of these individuals went above and beyond in their day to day duties. They made sure we were happy..and they all made sure we didn’t go without anything. If you go please say hello from the Torres’. The rest of the bartenders, did ok with their minimal efforts, but would be excellent if they tried a little bit harder. All the staff at the front desk were excellent as well they helped out with any room issues and information we needed. The staff taking care of excursions did fantastic as well!! They really gave us huge smiles, and made sure we felt at home in theirs beautiful country. Just one last thing, the resort is located 45 min away from 7 mile beach and George Town..taxis are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!! 71/2 rate

We stayed here at the Wyndham Reef for our 21st anniversary. It was our 1st time in Cayman Islands. Our airport transportation was a lovely experience. She was nice and pleasant. We arrived at the front desk and were greeted pleasantly. This review gets 3 stars because of the hospitality we received. Now about the sargasm or seaweed , we will never stay on East End again. We enjoyed only because we welcomed the relaxation but it wasn’t enough action. If you stay here pls rent a car to explore the island. If you want action stay on Seven Mile Beach. The food was fairly good but expensive. I think this area would benefit from all inclusive resort option.

For a resort that claims "100% of the rooms have ocean view" my view was a construction fence and a massive crane. When I asked for a different room at check in I was told no rooms or upgrades were available. There was barely anyone at the resort and seems MANY rooms were open. I told them I would pay for an upgrade but still told nothing was available. Also I understand they can not control when the algae has a massive bloom. However they should have someone removing the algae at the very least daily! The smell was awful. Fans to move around the air on the non beach side would have been a good idea as well. As for staff, the front desk and lobby people were all fantastic. The bartender in the upstairs area was also great. The staff in the beach bar, particularly the older gentleman seemed to not enjoy his job or his customers. Almost like we were bothering him when ordering drinks. The gal that served us dinner at the beach restaurant was fantastic. I think an opportunity was lost by not having staff get orders at the pool or beach. Bed was comfortable and the units were very clean. There were issues with the water not getting hot but maintenance was very quick to come and resolved. They were also very friendly. I usually dont leave bad reviews but this resort has a lot of potential and I hope this review helps them n the future.
