"We had a very mixed night because it was very noisy. The hotel was hosting a group of about twenty people, not to mention guests who arrived after midnight with their luggage right above our room. If the evening dinner was top notch both in terms of service and the quantity and quality of the dishes, breakfast was a disaster. We were supposed to have lunch around 7:00, when the young girl arrived, she was alone to prepare and serve everything for the entire hotel. We were hardly able to get a coffee around 7:30, had to go down to the kitchen to get some milk which was thrown in our faces and left without eating anything"

"Northern Pearl is a nice and very safe hotel, with beautiful gardens, and a truly excellent restaurant (especially the Indian options!). The staff were very friendly, and I had a very pleasant experience throughout. However, while it is comfortable, the accommodation is not the best value, especially compared to alternative options in Gulu. The rooms could use a little work, the bathroom in particular needs an upgrade, while I also had some issue with cockroaches, caterpillars, and mice in the room."
