An excellent hotel. Very nicely situated with parking facilities. 10 minutes from North Berwick and the beach. The hotel was modern, clean and very comfortable with a nice bar area and lounge. The staff are exceptionally friendly from the management to the cleaning staff, everyone was very welcoming and pleasant. The food was great as was the service. If there was a hotel of this calibre in all holiday destinations then accommodation concerns would be a thing of the past. I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough.

This has one of the best accessible bathrooms I have ever used. The accommodation, meals, and staff are superb. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone . I don’t know what the regular rooms are like as the accessible one is on the side of the hotel . The breakfast buffet was excellent. An added bonus is the car park

We stayed at the Mallard Hotel for one night during a recent trip to Gullane and would highly recommend a stay there if planning a golf trip. The hotel is directly across the street from the golf course and the accommodations are very comfortable. In addition, my husband maintains that his dinner (duck breast) was the best meal that he had in Scotland. In addition to playing golf, we also walked to the local beach. The local scenery is breathtaking.

From the moment I made a booking with the very helpful manager I knew had made a good choice to stay at the Mallard with my wife who has mobility issues . The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay which made for a very enjoyable visit . The food was of good quality and the service first class . A highlight was the Sunday roast beef dinner which was one of the best we have had even the Yorkshire puddings were excellent. I would happily stay at the Mallard again if I visit the area in the future.

We had a lovely stay. Our room was lovely, the whole place was spotlessly clean, the meals we had were excellent and breakfast was great. Moreover, we cannot thank ALL of the Team for making us feel welcome, relaxed and well looked after. You provide a very friendly and professional service and we will certainly stay again whenever we next visit the area.

We went for an overnight stay, for our 43rd wedding anniversary at The Mallard Hotel, Gullane, they gave us an upgrade on our room, overlooking the golf course, which was delightful. Our evening meal was delicious and the breakfast was cooked to order, not left out for self service. We were certainly spoilt by friendly staff. If you're looking for a different local place to try for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, evening meal or overnight stay. We've tried them all at the Mallard and weren't disappointed.

A lovely hotel, freshly refurbished, with comfortable beds and good sized rooms. The location is perfect, with great views of the golf course at the front and the garden at the rear. The staff were all exceptionally pleasant and helpful- nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were delicious and the evening meals good. The hotel is just off the high street, so is very quiet but convenient, and there is easy access to the beaches and the John Muir Way. Highly recommended!
