Peninsula Bed & Cocktails

Perfect place to stay for a visit to Gulfport Florida. Central location walking distance to all shops and beach. Very clean updated rooms and bath with everything needed and great staff. Porch is wonderful too! There is a continental breakfast.

My daughter and I traveled to one of our favorite places, Gulfport, and this stay was one of the best! It was right downtown in all the action. The check-in was easy and the room was so cute and clean! We will definitely be staying again. They definitely put a lot of thought into making our stay memorable. Parking was easy. Perfect stay for couples or 1-2 people, unless they have bigger rooms. Our room just had one bed. The complimentary drinks were thoughtful and they even had beach towels for us to use. Restaurants and shopping are within walking distance, and we loved the historic feel with the modern decor and look!

Hours before we arrived we were notified that the elevator wasn't working and happily agreed to our room on the 3rd floor as we were more then excited to stay here again. However, once we arrived and went up 3 flights of stairs to our room, the AC wasn't working in our room. Even in the hallways - we noticed it was a little hot - but thought it was because we walked up 3 flights of stairs with our luggage. I went back downstairs and alerted the young lady working the bar (with no customers - actually now that I think about it - we didn't see one other person) and was quickly told that she doesn't deal with the issues but would text the off site manager. We also texted the number given but with no response. We waited atleast 10 more minutes in a room of 76 degrees and climbing 78 (of which we have pictures of) before packing up our things and walked back down 3 flights of stairs. Once in our car we received a call from McKayla (?) and was offered a different room on a different floor and we declined. We were given a lecture on the historic nature of the building, elevators are not guaranteed, rooms do not go below 72 degrees and we should have given her more time. When I asked to speak with the owner she said she is acting owner and it was her 100% her decision to charge us for the night. When I asked her if she had inspected the room before we arrived she quickly told me that they do not and customers will contact them if any issues. Where's my discount for Acting Qaulity Control Manager???? I hope the owner reads this and contacts me, I would love to speak with them directly. Thank you.

Stylish and comfy rooms with great décor and playful themes. Wonderfully helpful and professional property manager. Property is well situated in an entertainment area with loads of great places to wine and dine. All-round a great place to stay.

This place was very clean and the staff was very friendly and so helpful. The room for me was a bit warm (Dacquuri Room) but we added a fan and it was lovely. We didn't stay for the continental breakfast as we were looking for a full breakfast and not continental. Make sure your parking tag is up on your mirror so they do not sticker your car. Our parking tag fell and the sticker they placed on my driver side window is large and will need to be scrubbed off once we get back home (this is the only reason we gave this review a 4 instead of a 5 as we did provide them our license plate number). Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Peninsula Bed & Cocktails. Loved the eclectic vibe of the place! Location is just 2 blocks from the public beach & there are beach towels in the room if you need them. Rooms are clean and fresh with a European feel. Very comfortable. Quite affordable, too. Contactless check-in means you enter your info online, and no room key. No front desk. We felt safe in this charming artsy community. There was enough night life, even on a Sunday, with bars and restaurants nearby. The small cocktail bar encourages conversation. Overall, a lovely experience. We will be back.

Loved the Peninsula Bed & Cocktails. Rooms were super clean and decorated very nice. It is my understanding that the house was originally build in 1906 as a hospital. They refurbished and remodeled is very nicely. Upon check-in, they provided a free cocktail of your choosing at their cocktail bar, which was a super nice touch. They had a breakfast room and it consisted of pastries, bagels, cereals, yogurt, self make waffle maker, fruit cups, juices, coffee. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again if ever in the area. Staff was very friendly and professional. They did a great job.

The Peninsula Bed and Cocktails was a wonderful little inn and we truly enjoyed our stay. We booked the Bee's Knees room because it was the only room left available. It was a small room, but comfortable for our 2 night stay, but will look to book a larger room next time. We truly enjoyed the cute, quirky town of Gulfport and plan to return for another visit and stay at the Peninsula Bed and Cocktails inn. It is located right in the heart of historic downtown with lots of restaurants, shops, and live music. We enjoyed cocktails, breakfast and a take out dinner on the quaint porch. The quirky elevator is worth a photo op too! We really enjoyed our stay at the Peninsula and the town of Gulfport and look forward to visiting again.

Such a nice surprise. This inn has been rehabbed with funky colors while retaining the character of an old inn in many ways. The self served gated elevator is a must see, a compliment to it's former self. The breakfast area was easily accessed although small and cramped. Food selection was good a nice selection of fresh fruit, granola, breads for toasting, sweet fruit style yogurt (would have preferred plain), donuts & individually packaged bagels etc. An apartment size refrig held the cold foods. Only one Kureag coffee maker created a line of blearly eyed guests in the morning. The queen size bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Plenty of hot water for showers. All staff were pleasant and engaging. I have no complaints. Enjoyed the location, location, location.
