Welcome to The Lodge at Gulf State Park, a Hilton Hotel, a unique destination located on Alabama’s Gulf Coast and part of the Gulf State Park. Our location offers all the perks of a beachfront location as well as a host of park amenities such as hiking and biking trails, a 900-acre fishing lake, nature center and outdoor classroom, interpretive center, tennis, kayaking, paddleboards, geocaching, guided nature walks, birding, and several playgrounds.
Choose from a guest room or suite with beach or park views, each with a spacious tub or shower and 50-inch TV. Our suites feature a private balcony, some with bunk beds to better accommodate the entire family.
Dine in or outdoors while enjoying beautiful gulf views from our onsite restaurants. Room service is available 6am – 12am daily, or relax in our Lobby coffee and wine bar overlooking the beach.
Everything you need is right here. Exercise in our fitness center, or take a dip in the infinity pool. Our business center is available daily, and the convenience shop is always open. Choose from 40,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor event space, including the largest ballroom on the Gulf Coast with a beach view.

Super nice hotel the pool is amazing love the modern design although the blankets are quite uncomfortable but still 100% you should book this hotel.

I came to the lodge with my family to attend a conference. The hotel is resort style with a very relaxing vibe. Pretty much anything you need is right on site. We ate at Drangonfly by the pool several times and enjoyed both onsite restaurants. They have a bus which will take you over to the State park areas for free or can also rent bicycles for no charge. We were very impressed with the whole place and will return. Either side view is great and all rooms have a balcony. There is a large balcony on each floor with table, couch, and chairs facing the gulf for everyone to use. Our room was a double queen and had plenty of room. My only complaint is no microwave in room and when I asked front desk they said no microwaves onsite. They really need one at least in the common areas.

We went on a family trip to Gulf Shores and had the best time. The hotel was great. Perfect for families. The biggest thing for me when I pick a hotel is if it is a beach front with beach access. This hotel was exactly what I was looking for. The staff is very nice and accommodating. We arrived several hours before check in and they were able to get us in. The room was decent. The bed was comfortable and ac worked great. I’m not a person who cares too much about the room because we never spend any time in it. The pool is great for little kids. There is no deep end. It’s only 3ft+ the entire pool. They give you towels with a wrist band you get at check in. There is a pool side restaurant and bar. There are chairs and umbrellas but you have to get down there early to reserve them. Another big thing for us is beach chairs. I’d say my only negative comment is regarding the chairs. They have chairs on the beach with the name of the hotel on them which leads you to believe they are complimentary. They are not. They use a 3rd party and are 45 bucks a day which is expensive and misleading in my opinion. It was embarrassing to have them come up to use for using chairs we weren’t supposed to be in because we didn’t pay for them when the chairs and umbrellas have the name of the hotel you are staying at on them. Overall, I’d stay there again though because we had a great stay.

BOOK THIS PLACE! You won’t regret it! The views are amazing, and the beach is just steps away. The grounds are well kept, clean, and gorgeous! It’s nice that the beach is private, as it is never really crowded. We went mostly in the evenings (5pm-??) and it was not busy at all! The pool was also another popular spot during our trip! We never tried any of the restaurants on site, but I wish we had. We had booked a double Queen, and the beds were very comfortable. We had a balcony room with a gulf view and it was great! The only “downfall” would be the parking. If you don’t use valet, the parking lot is a bit of a walk from where the rooms are located. But it’s not terrible, and I wouldn’t let that deter me booking again. We will definitely be back!

Last minute reservation found a room here at this beautiful property in the state park. Beach is nearly empty here and no crowds. Really enjoyed the pool, bar, and clean rooms. No laundry service or machines is a drag, but found a local laundry that worked great. Pool bar is great. Restaurants on property. Rooms are modern, and bathrooms are large and bright (no exhaust fans). Mattress needs changing, as the wife and I ended up fighting each other all night to get out of the ditch in the middle of the mattress. Shower was hot! Long walk from the parking lot to the room. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Room cleaned daily. We had a first floor room facing the road. Walls are thin. Could hear kids in room next door and running up and down the hallway and voices in hallway were LOUD. Fridge in room, but no kitchen or microwave. No Prime video on the TV. We did not bring the kids on this trip, and probably would stay elsewhere with kids. This is a hotel room so a condo would be more ideal for a family setting, but we enjoyed it with just the two of us.
