Holiday Inn Express Properties in Guiyang

This hotel is quite good, and it's close to the high-speed rail station. Being newly opened, both the soft and hard facilities are relatively new. The mini-fridge is well-stocked with drinks, including sodas, mineral water, and coffee. The front desk service is excellent, and breakfast is quite extensive. It's a great choice for business trips, tourism, or even a staycation.

Traveling solo in Guiyang, and as an IHG Platinum member, this Holiday Inn Express was the perfect fit in the city center. The fully smart-controlled room is ideal for lazy people like me; I could adjust the lights and temperature from bed. The 24-hour fresh air circulation kept the room feeling fresh and not stuffy, even in a busy area. The KingKoil mattress paired with Standard Textile linens was heavenly – after a day of sightseeing, I instantly relaxed the moment I lay down. The room was spotless with no overlooked spots during cleaning. The self-service washer-dryer on the 22nd floor was a lifesaver for solo travelers, no need for hand washing or drying. I also squeezed in some light stretching at the gym. The breakfast buffet had a fantastic variety, and the local specialty noodles were a must-try, especially with the freshly ground coffee – a perfect combo. Free chilled bottled water was always available in the lobby downstairs, super convenient to grab on the way out. The front desk staff were warm and patient, making me feel completely safe as a solo traveler. The night view was also impressive, and the gym was well-equipped and practical, catering to fitness enthusiasts much better than some of the showy, less functional gyms in five-star hotels. The location is extremely convenient, and the cleanliness is good. However, the soundproofing in the room is terrible; I could hear people moving around, opening doors, and dragging things next door all night. The breakfast was really sub-par, with the fewest options I've ever seen at a Holiday Inn Express. And to top it off, the Western restaurant didn't even have butter knives or regular knives! I had no idea how to spread butter on my toasted bread! Eventually, a staff member had to go to the storage room to get some. Despite all this, the service attitude was still good.

The hotel was really easy to find and super close to the subway. The room was clean and tidy, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Even though there was construction nearby, the hotel sign was still very visible. They also have a restaurant, and if you fancy a lively stroll in the evening, there's a night market street just a few hundred meters away – super convenient! Overall, I had a fantastic stay! 👍🏻👍🏻
