love it hotel, very convenient as there's any shop nearby just walk within few minutes. Breakfast is good and delicious and definite will choose this hotel again.

Stayed for one night. The hotel is a 20-minute walk away from the town centre in a very quiet location. The breakfast buffet was tasty (although I wish they’d had cream cheese for the bagels!) and I slept very well. The downsides: the iron I borrowed from Reception was in very poor condition, leaking water all over the floor (and my shirt!). And there’s only 30 minutes of free wifi per day, although you can buy more if you like.

Facilities: mini version of bathroom sink Hygiene: It’s pretty clean (I didn’t look carefully at night) Environment: I live in Room 66 on the first floor. Outside the window are the parking lot, corridor and garbage station; Service: On the day of check-in, I encountered a group of people having a party in the parking lot outside the room window. They made a lot of noise in the parking lot. I couldn't stand it and went to the front desk to ask for a room change. They were told that the room was full and they didn't do anything. It didn't quiet down until two o'clock.

We were visiting Worplesdon for a Golden Wedding party. Our friends recommended the Asperion Hillside and we were not disappointed. A couple of minor issues were effectively and quickly sorted, and particular thanks go to Lily on reception, Derek at breakfast and owner Daniel. We loved the immaculate garden with its lovely fish pond where we sat and enjoyed the sunny September morning before we left for the lunch party.

We stayed as a twosome in the Premier Inn, Guildford North, for three nights. There we met up with three people whom we seldom manage to see, because we live hundreds of miles apart from each other, and having time together over a leisurely meal was important to us. Our ages are 80,80, 81, 85 and 94 respectively. Our rooms were much as one would expect from a Premier Inn, and the hotel is a much quieter place in which to stay than its position close to a busy road might suggest. The outstanding feature of our stay was the calibre of the staff, and the extent to which they did all they could to look after us. All of us felt so well watched over and cared for. For example, on our first morning, we were allowed to spend two hours lingering over our breakfast as we caught up animatedly with each other's lives. This included giving us the opportunity to ”stay put” whilst the staff began to lay out the tables for lunch. There was always a member of staff willing to give us a helping hand with cases and the like if we looked in need of it. Nothing was too much bother for them. To be treated with such care and concern mattered a great deal to us. We would certainly go back again.

I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were spotless, making for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast offered a great variety and was delicious. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it!

Dinner for two was lovely, stayed overnight with dinner and brew included. Elisa who served was fantastic, made us feel very welcome and couldn’t have been more accommodating, the extra effort made the evening very enjoyable. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back.

We recently stayed at this hotel as a family of 10, booking several superior rooms. Unfortunately, our initial experience with the rooms was disappointing. The superior rooms were far below expectations — think shabby Travelodge. After raising the issue with the staff, they did move us to more appropriate rooms, which was appreciated, but we were charged for one of the room changes as it had to be an upgrade which, given the time it took and the disruption to our first day was disappointing. The buffet dining experience was also underwhelming. The food quality reminded us of school dinners — it did not live up to the standards we expected from a hotel in this price range. Breakfast was OK. On the positive side, the staff were very helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to assist us with our concerns, and their service was the highlight of our stay. However, there was a significant overcharge on each room's final bill. Thankfully, this was resolved after we sought clarification, but it added unnecessary stress to our departure. Overall, while the hotel has some strong points, particularly with its excellent staff, the quality of some of the rooms and food needs improvement. With better attention to detail, this hotel could offer a much better experience.

We had the misfortune of hosting our wedding at Barnett Hill, part of the Alexander Hotel Collection, and it was an experience riddled with incompetence, unprofessionalism, and outright negligence. Despite lofty promises of a stress-free, seamless wedding experience, what we received was a series of miscommunications, breaches of contract, and poor service that turned what should have been a joyous occasion into a frustrating ordeal. 1. Incompetent Wedding Coordination The wedding coordinator assigned to us, Tori, demonstrated a shocking lack of professionalism and competence. Despite initial promises to guide us through the planning process, Tori disappeared for months at a time, leaving us scrambling to fill in the gaps ourselves. Her attitude during the final meeting was dismissive and unprofessional—she came unprepared, repeatedly asked questions she already had answers to, and failed to acknowledge the work we had done to compensate for her earlier absences. It was clear she did not take her role seriously, and her lack of involvement caused unnecessary stress and confusion. 2. Breach of Contract: Incorrect Menu and Wine We experienced multiple breaches of contract that ruined key aspects of our event: - Menu Failures: Despite providing confirmed vegetarian options for our guests (and printing bespoke menu cards at our own expense), Barnett Hill served a completely different dish without prior notice. This not only embarrassed us in front of our guests but also rendered our meticulously designed menu cards useless. It was an avoidable mistake that highlighted their lack of attention to detail. - Wine Debacle: The agreed-upon wine, which we had carefully chosen during a tasting months in advance, was not served at the event. Instead, we were forced to accept subpar substitutes on the day of our wedding. To make matters worse, the hotel misrepresented the available options and used leftover wine they had mistakenly over-ordered. This dishonest practice was deeply disappointing, especially as we had paid for premium wine. The lack of transparency and accountability left us feeling deceived. 3. Negligence Regarding Allergies One of our guests has a life-threatening allergy, which we communicated clearly to the hotel well in advance. Despite this, the hotel failed to accommodate their dietary needs, putting their health and safety at serious risk. This level of negligence is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the hotel's hiring and training practices. 4. Unresolved Refund Issues The hotel's refund process has been a nightmare. Despite agreeing to refund certain costs due to their numerous failures, they repeatedly revised the amount without justification and ultimately refunded a fraction of what was promised. Their accounts team cited ”internal administrative errors” as the reason for the discrepancies, but this excuse fails to address the root issue: the hotel’s inability to honor agreements and resolve issues efficiently.
