Stayed here for 7 days with my partner and toddler. We had a fantastic time, food was lovely and drinks were great! Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. Pools were clean and the right temperature for how hot it was. Entertainment was good for kids expecially the mini disco. The guy that done mini disco was great with the kids, he done different things every night like ballons/face paint and temporary tattoos! Best show we had was jonny circus and he was brilliant! Quiet location, but easy to get a bus to costa adeje/ las Americas and los Christianos. Loads of restaurants near by, would recommend the Italian restaurant restaurante martini. Rooms were standard, bathrooms could do with some tlc but this didnt bother us as we didn't spend much time in the room. Soap/shampoo/ tooth brushes and tooth paste were provided as well as you can ask for pool towels. There was always sunbeds available through out the day. Alot of walking up hill around this area, but beautiful views. Plenty of shops near by and bars.

We are currently here at the hotel. So we booked only 2 weeks before our holiday and opted to pay on arrival. Mon - Fri all inclusive £315 each which is a bargain. Playa Arena is a quiet resort south west of the island of Tenerife. I have often stayed in Costa Adeje and by comparison playa Arena is like a ghost town and extremely hilly! Not for those who struggle with mobility. The hotel Allegro isora is located about a 10 minutes walk from the beach and small ***** of bars and restaurants. There is a supermarket for day to day needs a few minutes walk away. The hotel itself is surprisingly good for the price, I want to be fair and review it within its own category and not against more expensive hotels. The rooms are very adequate, spacious, with good air conditioning and ceiling fan in the bedroom. They actually are little apartments with kitchenette, dining table sofa bed in lounge, separate bedroom, bathroom and balcony with furniture. In the kitchen there is a full size fridge a microwave but no kettle. As I do like a cup of tea first thing in the morning so I ask reception for a kettle and one was provided, but they said they couldn't provide cups! Luckily I travel with my own and tea bags too. The apartment as I said is very adequate but some furniture is extremely tired, for example the sofa is uncomfortable and past it's best, I pity anyone who actually has to sleep on it. The beds in the bedroom are great, very comfortable and spacious. There is good hanging space, 3 drawers but only 8 hangers (I'm sure more could be provided if we asked), but we managed. There is a safe, but you have to pay to use it. The big problem we had was our patio door, it is so hard to slide it takes 2 of us to move it in 3 small slides, putting all our weight behind each push! I did report this on arrival but nothing was done. We are in room 217F the block furthest away from reception and around the kids pool, so a bit noisy at times not the best location as we are a married couple with no family. Talking of pools, there are 3 the kids one, the family/activity one and the quite zone one. The pools are COLD. Sunbeds seems plentiful, we never had a problem to get one in a spot around the quiet pool. The snack bar offers self service soft drinks water, coffee and beer, with a bar service for other drinks. There is a limited choice of food available throughout the day there, like hot dogs, burgers, salad, chicken nuggets, chips, fruit and a few pastries and doughnuts. The main restaurant however has a good varied selection of food for each sitting and the quality has always been consistently good. Soft drinks, water wine and beer are self service during the day with a bar service for evening meal for some reason. (Not ideal during busier times). On the point of all inclusive there are a lot of drinks included, but some are at a small addition cost. Entertainment: We never get involved in daytime activities but I can report the schedule looked a bit 'samey' one co

Great hotel for a bargain price bathroom needs refresh & definitely more parasols needed. Loved aqua gym, Zumba and the water mat the team worked hard & always happy. Lovely gym pools great. Food was mostly very good could be busy at times and sometimes waited for table to be cleared but we liked the out door terrace which was quieter. Lovely beach 10 mins away not much else in the area. Watched the entertainment one night enjoyed Spanish dancers but we normally sat in the bar.

The entertainment team were 10/10! They always put all their effort in and involved everyone! Especially at night on the stage. Food was good, a variety and different each night, and restocked often, snack bar throughout day and drinks on offer all day! Staff welcoming and friendly! Rooms were good but needs alittle work but overall I would go back!

We had a good family holiday. Probably not high end 4star, but a nice hotel. It is in a quiet location which suited us. We never had to wait to be seated in the main restaurant, maybe we were just lucky. We liked the food and always found something to eat. Kids being fussy less so, but you can’t please everyone. Snack bar was better for the kids and convenient. The evening BBQ which we had to book for at the snack bar restaurant was really nice. And staff were working really hard. Kids didn’t like it (again). Feedback: put up details about what is being served, before booking. It would have been more enjoyable if just the 2 of us had gone and kids went to the main restaurant. AI spirts weren’t great. Probably the least we have drunk on holiday. We had an interconnected room, which was nice and large for a family of 5. The kids could have their own area with the sofa beds in each apartment plus 2 bedrooms. Great view from the 5th floor. But took hotel nearly 24hrs to unlock the interconnecting door, and only did so after I reported a faulty door handle on the balcony door. Which instead of fixing, the maintenance person just told my 16 year to use the other door. Which was not great, and opening was behind furniture. Pools were salt water. Wasn’t told this anywhere. Not strong, but could definitely taste it. Given it was August, we always got sunbeds. You had to be on the ball, and we did see towels being removed by pool staff, so they were on it. But very few parasols. If you wanted sunbeds next to a parasol you did have to sit out from about 8:30. Having said all that, we had a lovely holiday, but was ready to come home after a week.

Lovely quiet location by shops and the Arena black beach. Beds were so comfy even the children's sofa beds they had the best nights sleep! Air con is fab! Loved the swimming pools and enthusiastic staff that did the day activities. We booked the bbq which I must say was amazing and staff work so hard, good food and love the idea of the buffet snack bar with burgers, hot dogs fries etc Loved the men that sang while you ate your dinner nice touch to the evening. Cleaners are very hard workers cleaned our room everyday. We booked a seaview room and was very impressed with our location of room and view! I think if we were to come here again though it wouldn't be in the August summer holidays as the week went on more and more guests were arriving and was just too busy for us especially at meal times in the restaurant but staff were quick at cleaning tables off for the next family so always got seated promptly. Only negative would be the sunbeds, abit of a nightmare and some confusion with reserving them we were told towels would be removed but lots of sunbeds were taken by 8am, ours got removed one day had only been on there 15 minutes while i went to get a drink if you werent lucky enough to get one by 9am you unfortunately wouldn't have one all day as people sit out on them until gone 7pm but everytime we looked out at 8am most were already reserved while people went for their breakfast, some would take a whole row of sunbeds but wouldn't even be using them as their children were in the pool all day, which think us unfair and selfish from guests when some families dont get to have even 1 or 2. Its ok if you go out for the day and then go for a swim In the evening the pools are meant to close at 7 I believe but we were happy we still got to have a swim after that time when it had cooled down abit. Overall a fabulous holiday!
