Cottages on River Road

Great room. Breakfast was just right.........................no complaints except for the lighting! The room was dark and lamps weren't good for reading. Please, please, oh please get some floor lamps in and set by the chair and sofa so next time I can read!!! This is my usual complaint about lodging, poor lighting. But thank you for a wonderful stay with time to read in the garden, pet S'mores the resident cat and enjoy the quiet. Loved our 3rd stay with you.

We had an enjoyable stay in this motel, but it was not completely perfect. The location was pretty good - a few minutes drive from the center of Guerneville. The room we stayed in was advertised as a "studio", but it was not: it was half of a duplex bungalow with only enough space for a king bed and a chair. There was no kitchen and the only table was outside on the porch. The bed was comfortable, the A/C was quiet, but the fridge was pretty noisy so I had to unplug it at night. Our cabin was away from the highway, so the traffic did not bother us. The bathroom was huge. Unfortunately the water pressure was not great. Breakfast was much better than we expected. The manager was very friendly and helpful and so was the resident cat. I would stay there again, but might book a bigger room.

Such a cute property! Nice, clean, comfortable cottages! Loved the fire pit and s'more's. The breakfast was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again. If you’re a light sleeper maybe ask for the wooded side as opposed to the street side. I’m a light sleeper but the street noise didn't seem to bother me too much at all.

I have stayed here many times, the first , via app Hotel Tonight. I have loved this town for the past 25 years and this is the perfect location and venue of where to stay. You will not be disappointed.

I'm going to start out by saying I do a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before I book a place to stay at. That being said, this place did not disappoint at all. It far exceeded my expectations. From working with DeeAnn who went over and beyond to make sure our check-in and are stay was five star. She stayed later than her shift, upgraded us, gave us great suggestions & even offered things we might have forgotten to bring . The cottages we're cozy nuzzled in redwood trees. The rooms were very clean. The beds were very comfortable. We were talking how they would make a cute place to live in . The continental breakfast was great. So many options. The fact that the checkout is at noon let's you enjoy the property and your breakfast without having to rush. Close to wineries and restaurants. There's a Safeway a mile away where you can get things to make an amazing charcuterie which is what we did after a day of wine tasting. And they even have a fridge for you to keep your leftovers. Hands down one of the best places I stayed this year in my travels. I absolutely recommend this place and I am very picky. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the warm wellcome, the comfortable accommodations in a quiet, cozy atmosphere.

We felt welcome from the moment we arrived and checked in. We were told there was a fire pit and ingredients for s’mores. Once we had settled in to our clean and comfortable room we sat around the fire pit and made s’mores and some new friends. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfortable!!! There was plenty of choice at breakfast. Just wish we were there for longer.

The Cottages was the most relaxing place with a lovely large garden/courtyard in the center of the cottages. A fire pit in the garden is prepped for making S’Mores in the evening. The cottages are completely renovated, clean and comfortable.

Looks a little rustic from the road but give it a chance. Stayed in a duplex cabin surrounded by trees that was nicely refurbished. Great bed and pillows. Quiet. Small patio to enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine. Community firepit. Thoroughly enjoyed. Great staff

What a beautiful property and the cabin is lovely. Very comfortable bed and room comes with an air conditioner and mini fridge . The view of the property is amazing the magi info dnt trees and plants you know the owners take pride in the property. The on-site manager and staff are so accommodating and extremely pleasant. A nice added Lux is the morning breakfast complete with everything and quite tasty . Certainly a gem of a place glad we found it
