Hotel Ixbalanque

It was very convenient to the airport and had a great airport shuttle. It also had the size of rooms we needed. The woman at the desk, Gloria I think, was so very helpful.

I can’t believe what I spent for this third class hotel. In my opinion, they should charge no more than half the price. You can’t use your credit/debit card.

Probably ripped off. I had to use my credit card to pay as I didn't have cash. The hotel staff member (who didn't speak any english) told me that they charged fees for using your credit card. Fine, I assume there will always be a fee of 5% or so. However it was 10%, plus some other fee that I didn't understand, plus an expensive exchange rate that they charged. The amount ended up DOUBLING the cost of my stay, from $25 US to about $50. I feel like I got ripped off. Also, I needed a shuttle at 4am to catch my flight. I told him this the night before. At 4am I went to the front desk, had to wait for him to wake up, and then call an uber. Eventually leaving around 4:20, rushing through the airport to get to the gate. A little unprofessional. The room and the bed was comfortable but as others stated, you can hear everything in the hallway and can hear other guests coming in late at night. Due to this all I wouldn't stay here again.
