Gualala Surf Inn on the Ocean Bluff

Great location in a beautiful country, views are amazing!

Jade was gracious and helpful upon our arrival and during check-in. She was well prepared with info that answered any questions about the amenities and surrounding areas. She provided written instructions on how to operate the room's heating system, TV, Wi-Fi, etc. We were very pleased and impressed with her presentation.

So first of all me and my family go every year for the fireworks that they do in point arena and when i mean family i mean uncles, cousins, siblings, and parents we all book our own hotel where ever we find available. So me and my cousin got a hotel here and when my cousin had checked in first and i don't know what happened but i guess they got into it because i guess you can only book a room with one bed for 2 people and no more can be in that room so when i went in and told her my last name she gave me a big as attitude i had book a room with double beds which can have 4 people but some how they messed up and gave me a room with one bed i guess she saw that and she started to make a big fit with me but then i showed her my confirmation email that i had book a double room so she fixed it and gave me another room my point is that it doesn't matter if we are related she shouldn't had came at me like that it wasn't my problem that she got in a bad mood after the altercation with my cousin that wasn't my problem i was still a paying customer we are two very different people. Never again will i book here and i will also tell my family not to book here. Very bad experience the only thing good she did is fix my room problem but still she shouldn't have treated me that way it doesn't matter if we are related.

This place is a gem. We choose to stay in this town to break up the long drive from the redwoods to San Francisco. We spent some time at the Glass Beach and were going to be running late for check in so I called and the lady working the desk (I forgot her name but she's absolutely delightful) told me what to do, our room number, where to park, etc. She had all of the information (TV channels, how to with the air conditioner, restaurants with their availability and location) very detailed and easy to understand. The room we got actually had a kitchenette and a pull out bed in addition to our two double beds, which was unexpected but appreciated! Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is continental style, but does have cheese and hard boiled eggs in addition to a large assortment of granola bars, pastries, yogurt, juice, milk, and a coffee machine (so you can make yourself a late or mocha)! It was good. We also had a great view. We met a couple local seagulls that hang out there too (Gus Gus and Thumper). It really was a great experience!

Second time visiting. Great location. Rooms are small but designed so they feel bigger with ample space for a single, like me. I really liked the “grab and go” breakfast. Jade, the manager, is terrific!
