So first of all me and my family go every year for the fireworks that they do in point arena and when i mean family i mean uncles, cousins, siblings, and parents we all book our own hotel where ever we find available. So me and my cousin got a hotel here and when my cousin had checked in first and i don't know what happened but i guess they got into it because i guess you can only book a room with one bed for 2 people and no more can be in that room so when i went in and told her my last name she gave me a big as attitude i had book a room with double beds which can have 4 people but some how they messed up and gave me a room with one bed i guess she saw that and she started to make a big fit with me but then i showed her my confirmation email that i had book a double room so she fixed it and gave me another room my point is that it doesn't matter if we are related she shouldn't had came at me like that it wasn't my problem that she got in a bad mood after the altercation with my cousin that wasn't my problem i was still a paying customer we are two very different people. Never again will i book here and i will also tell my family not to book here. Very bad experience the only thing good she did is fix my room problem but still she shouldn't have treated me that way it doesn't matter if we are related.

Très bonne surprise que ce joli motel en bois foncé ! Facile à trouver, accueil sympathique, chambre agréable et bien fournie (machine à café, etc), très calme, vue superbe de notre lit sur la mer, propre. Les chambrs sont collées les unes aux autres mais c'était très calme. On gare sa voiture devant sa chambre, comme dans tout motel. Jardin donnant sur la falaise en bord de mer, vue vraiment superbe, on peut s'assoir dans des chaises et fauteuils en bois de l'hôtel pour prendre l'apéritif, pique-niquer ou prendre son café devant la mer, devant les pins. Très jolie promenade à faire le long de la falaise. Très bel endroit. Très bon rapport-qualité prix. Plusieurs restaurants très agréables tout autour. Gualala est un endroit à découvrir : petite ville/village bien agréable, joli, calme, entre mer et forêt, personnes très accueillantes. Belle librairie de l'autre côté de la route. Supermarché juste à côté pour acheter son diner, une bonne bouteille pour l'apéritif, si on ne veut pas aller au restaurant. On y est passé juste une soirée et une matinée mais on y reviendrait avec grand plaisir. Critique : Il n'y a pas de petit-déjeuner proposé. Le petit-déjeuner serait un plus, surtout avec la vue sur la mer.

Delightful, Room 112, ocean view. Check email if you're late check in. Receptionist was friendly and kind, I just made it for check in at 6pm. Highway construction was ongoing. Lovely room with sea vibes. I love the fridge being in the other room in a closet, I can enjoy ocean sounds without fridge noise. Kudos. Cove Azul excellent to eat at and was open. Not all restaurants are open all the time. Because of a power outage Cove Azul was not letting in people after 6:30pm. Seems getting in just before was my blessing all round. The restaurant is a walk up the road. Good to ask where is best place to eat. Walked up the trail to view sunset, one last look before leaving. The place is right above the ocean which has a beach *****. Yes to the fluffy bed, wood floors, and cute furniture. Nice, clean, fresh room. A great stop.

The Surf Inn is conveniently located and right on the ocean-side though you can’t easily walk to the water. The rooms are “quaint” with a large-ish bathroom, television, refrigerator and microwave. There isn’t much available floor space though there is room in the closet inside the bathroom for a suitcase or two. The bed was fine, despite some other less-flattering reviews, and the room was dated but okay. There is a nice are to sit and watch the ocean, use the fire pit or have a cookout with the permission of the management. The office staff were pleasant and helpful. Oh, the Surf Inn is adjacent to the grocery which is really great. On Saturday mornings there is a farmer’s market a few minutes walk away. We were satisfied with our experience and the price was as good as you can get in Gualala.
