We stayed in this beautiful hotel as a mid way stop from the Netherlands to Italy. Although it was just for one night it has left a lasting impression. From the ascetics of the hotel to the food for breakfast everything was perfect. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, with suggestions on what to do in the town. I had forgotten an item in the hotel and they have gone above and beyond in facilitating its return. 10/10 We will be returning here again and would advise anyone to book a stay at this hotel.

Family owned property and old world charm in bucoluc, peaceful surroundings with very short stroll into town-proper and enjoy the car free surroundings. Many rooms have small personal balcony, be sure to specifically book. Rooms are quiet, windows open. Downside is tight quarter, limited electric outlets (we had a total of 2 and could rotate using light, fan, or charging devices), tiny (dated) bathroom was adequate. We were fortunate to have an upper corner room with windows open to both sides for air circulation. All in all, a good choice for close proximity, quiet sleeping, and very good breakfast. Nespresso coffee machine was very welcome to this guest! Incredibly lovely staff.

Zur Abwechslung ein eher kurzes Review: Das Hotel liegt leicht ausserhalb der Stadtmauern von Gruyeres. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und toll eingerichtet. Unseres hatte sogar einen kleinen Balkon. Das Bett war super bequem! Einfach Top! Mein persönliches Highlight war das tolle Frühstück und die sehr freundliche Bedienung! Da kann sich noch manches 5-Sterne-Hotel ein Beispiel daran nehmen! Ja, das Gebäude ist schon etwas älter, aber das stellt keinen Abwertungsgrund dar! Fazit: Gerne wieder, alleine schon wegen dem Frühstück!

Tolle Lage, ganz klar. Das Hotel an sich auch hübsch und charmant. Die Ausstattung im Zimmer aber nicht annehmbar. Uralte, abgewetzte Möbel, bedrückende Beleuchtung. Dusche (Badewanne) so alt, wir wollten dort nicht mal duschen. Haben im Wellnessbereich geduscht. Der ist neuer und gepflegt. Das Bett ist sehr unbequem. Eine Federkernmatratze, man merkt jede Feder, sehr schlecht geschlafen und nicht erholsam. Das Hotel lebt ganz offensichtlich von der Lage. Das Personal fragt beim Check-out nicht einmal ob man einen angenehmen Aufenthalt hatte. Ich denke sie kennen die Antwort. Sehr schade, dass hier nicht mehr investiert wird. Viellicht ist ja eine Renovation in Planung.

This was by far the best place we stayed during our European vacation. The hotel amenities were great, the place was quaint and clean, the staff were so courteous, and the breakfast was vast and delicious. Not to mention the valley and mountain views and super perfect town in walkable distance.
