The hotel is over 100 years old, no elevator, no TV, dead bolt locks on all doors, small rooms and bathrooms. Very poor breakfast - dry toast (no jam), Cheerios or instant oats (no fruit), and a hard boiled egg. Great check-in clerk

Utterly disappointing experience at this hotel in Groveland! We booked two rooms for two guests each, expecting a comfortable stay with access to the hotel's restaurant and bar, as promised on booking com. But when we arrived on July 29, 2025, in the middle of peak season, we were in for a rude awakening. Not only did the hotel fail to deliver on its promises, but we also had the misfortune of having a view of a dull, unattractive facade. To add insult to injury, the bar was not operational, despite being advertised as part of the hotel's amenities. And to top it all off, we paid over $600 for one night for both rooms. What a rip-off! Avoid this hotel at all costs, especially during peak season.

Stayed here for 2 nights while doing some hiking in the Hetch Hetchy area. The historic hotel dates back to 1849, but it has been nicely updated without losing its charm. As with all hotels this age, the rooms are small, but they are clean and have all the necessary modern amenities (air conditioning, TV, wi-fi, etc.). The veranda is a nice place to sit at the end of the day and watch people and traffic go by. Our room was on the second floor facing the highway. Yes there is traffic noise during the day, but the speed limit is only 25mph so it is not high speed traffic, and traffic dies down to nothing during sleeping hours so it was not a problem. We had a terrific dinner in the hotel’s restaurant; the food, cocktails, and service were all great. The only drawback is the restaurant is only open Wednesday through Sunday, so we had to go elsewhere our second night. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend a stay at The Groveland Hotel.

Great Historic hotel near Yosemite. great onsite restaurant as well as next to oldest California bar. Rooms are super clean and comfortable. I like their new wine bar with curated collection of california wine. you should try their restaurant and food is really good.

No TV in the room, no closet, fireplace didn't work, couldnt use outside sitting area. No ironing board or iron. No breakfast as they offer when you book the room. The bed was great, lil noisy at night, smaller that I expected. Tub needs some work.

Hotel was nice, but service was not great. Breakfast was awkward, and if you forgot to order the day before, they generally won't serve you unless there are leftovers or others who checkout without claiming their breakfast. Manager, Sam, was nice but unable to address issues. Dogs barking all night, people loud and roaming around hotel all night.
