Quality Inn Grove City - Columbus South

Upon arrival, I discovered dried up puke on the carpet. (I carry a black light flashlight whenever I travel.) I told the manager on duty about it and he came to the room to see it. He claimed the cleaning staff couldn’t see that. Obviously it wasn’t cleaned properly to begin with! He said he would have it cleaned, but it never was. He didn’t offer to move us or give us a discount. We paid in full in advance in order to get the best rate so we couldn’t leave and go somewhere else or I would have! I contacted Choice hotels directly and they informed me it was independently owned and couldn’t help me. Not only was the room nasty, it was also small. The bathroom had no counter space. The free breakfast they offered wasn’t much! FIND SOMEPLACE ELSE TO STAY!

I spent one night here in order to attend a concert in Columbus. The location is very convenient, right off I-71. Because of the busy, congested location I was concerned that it might be noisy, but it definitely was not. The front desk person was very personable and friendly. The room was clean and neat, the bathroom was clean. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were a bit lumpy. Still, it was a quiet, comfortable night. The only downsides were that the breakfast choices were limited. I understand the sign about limits to hot breakfast because of COVID, etc., but offering a protein source -- those small packets of peanut butter or hard-boiled eggs (although eggs are a bit expensive right now, I know) would've been appreciated. Still, I found enough to satisfy myself for one breakfast out of the grand arc of my life. The other downside was a brigh red lipstick print and smear on one of the white towels. At first I thought I was bleeding profusely from somewhere. I wasn't, it was clearly a lip print and a smear. Overall it was a good place to stay. Quiet, convenient, clean.

I stayed at this hotel for many years. Once borders opened I could travel I returned. Quite a bit has changed at this hotel, I blamed it on the pandemic and lack of people travelling. It really went down hill. It wasn’t anywhere as clean as it used to be. Smoke detectors hanging off walls, flickering lights in hallways, rust? on bathroom ceiling and fixtures. The professionalism of the staff was basically nonexistent. I few other issues I had addressed directly with Choice Hotels because the hotel itself choose to do nothing.

Stayed here the night before my daughters college soccer game. Check in went very smooth and easy Room was very nicely decorated and clean. They had on-site laundry facilities breakfast and a fitness center they did not have a pool. Did not use any of there facilities. Was not able to connect to connect to the Wi-Fi. The metal frame under the bed was very squeaky. The tub was also squeaking but the water pressure in the shower was very good
