Hotel building is very old (Soviet time), don’t be confused by opening year - 2022. This building was renovated (which is ok) but most important things like canalization, ventilation and pool were left old. It stinks in a bathroom, pool has old drains and looks correspondingly. The pool does not even have real mosaics, but a foil instead, which already gets musty and broken. Spa area smells like kitchen. The “renovation” is already getting old and broken. But all would be fine if service was good. Service makes up for 80% of impression, and exactly service is completely missing here. I have never expected Georgians to be so unfriendly with guests. Waiters in a restaurant look bored and unmotivated. They are slow and forgetful. Some don’t even look at you and you have to call them, then they throw the dishes onto the table and walk away. Receptionists are nice but not really helpful. All people working here are very unprofessional. Cleaning is not good, the building looks dirty. Windows were probably not cleaned since the day they were installed. Floor is sticky and dirty, especially in a restaurant. Sand, hair and dirt is all around. Room cleaning must be improved. Bathrooms should be cleaned more properly and bedsheets should be changed at least once a week! We stayed 10 days and bedsheets were not changed even once. Half of services like Terrasse restaurant and spa were not available (they have turned on a Jacuzzi once when we asked them), they explained it by season closure and cutting staff. But it is not a good explanation to the guests who paid full price for Wyndham quality and are still there! It is inappropriate. They have even ran out of coffee by the end of our stay! The only positive thing about this hotel was the food in the restaurant ordered from the menu. Tasty and with nice presentation. Buffet was Ok, nothing special (but 30USD per person per meal is way too much). Food in general was expensive for this area. This hotel does not deserve to carry Wyndham name even if it is “trademark collection”. Most of services listed on an official website do not exist. Basically you pay for Wyndham quality but you get an average Georgian B&B with unfriendly amateur staff. So, if you are just staying for a couple of nights, it might be ok, especially considering lack of other options in this region. Don’t include meals into your rate, it is much better and cheaper to order from menus. But if you are going on vacation - search for something else.
