We came here to stay by train. Although the motel is not very new, it has everything. There are supermarkets and daily necessities stores at the foot of the mountain. It takes about ten minutes to walk there. When the sidewalk is about to disappear, there is a trail connecting it in a hidden place, and you can walk to the parking lot of the grocery store. Stayed here for one night on the way back to Christchurch. The owner was very welcoming, parking was convenient, the central kitchen was very good, and there was a washbasin in the room. It was just that Greymouth was a bit lonely and not very popular.

It was only after I found out that there was a large cemetery behind the hotel, which was still full of jealousy for Asians. There is no air conditioning in the room and it is still very hot in summer. The hotel is not very soundproof. Other facilities are not bad.

The check-in experience was very good. The old lady at the front desk was very welcoming and responsive to all our requests. In the end, she extended our check-out time until 12 noon.
