Quaint historic hotel and speakeasy! This was a delightful stay. The owner, Myles, was very accommodating. After a long day of travel I wanted to reward myself with a comfortable bed and nice dinner. They did not disappoint. The room was on the first floor as I have some mobility issues. I felt safe as a solo traveler. Very big room with two queen beds, large shower and bathroom, good sized refrigerator (larger than the ones they have at other hotels), nice tv on a swivel so it was easy to see from the bed. I got in around 5:30 on a Saturday and was tired and hungry. Myles made a reservation at the Speakeasy for me at 7. The Speakeasy did not disappoint. It was in full Saturday swing. Lovely dinner with salad, perfectly cooked prime rib, potato and vegetables. They had a duo playing songs and some folks were singing along. It was very nice relaxed atmosphere. My waitress was fantastic. I couldn't have asked for more after a long trip. Breakfast was self serve with cereals, yogurt, juices, coffee, fruit and other offerings. Thank you Myles and crew for a wonderful stay!

Staying in history.
Our stay was great. The hotel was really awesome. It’s an old historic hotel in a small town. We had a great time. The owners were awesome and even showed me around the old prohibition era speakeasy in the basement. The bonus was that they had coffee and a light breakfast available as well.

The floors are a bit creaky but absolutely charming! The 9pm siren from the local fire station was surprising but fun!

The owner was super nice and accommodating. Although there were several other guests, there was never an issue with the shared toilet. Loved that it was renovated, but still kept the history and charm with hardwood floors, high ceilings and antiques. My husband and I are traveling across the country and have spent over $500 for one night in a hotel and this has been my husband’s favorite and, by far, has the best coffee. I told the owner the rates were too low. It is right on the road and about halfway between Mount Rushmore and Old Faithful.
