I drove from Edinburgh to Liverpool and chose to take a break in the town of Escape. The overall hotel style is a motel, and the price is relatively high. The breakfast is good! Free parking

Called in on our way home from Newcastle, but with it being a Friday night we were told that they were very busy and there was a twenty minute wait time for food and we decided just to wait, but we actually waited forty minutes the food to appear, but it was worth the wait. My wife had the home made fish cakes and I once again had their steak pie which went down a treat. I would recommend their food to friends and family as it takes some beating.

Food poorly presented. Had Hunters Chicken which came just the chicken and 5 potatoes no veg accompaniment. When asked waitress if any veg came with this she went to check coming back with simply no. Actually rubbish for £17.95. Local customer been lost

We went for a few drinks & they were ok & felt really sorry for the young lad behind the bar left on his own . Dealing with hotel guests & serving customers . More staff came in at 5 . We decided to order food & went for the chicken curry , rice & chips . Big mistake . The chicken was like cheap frozen chicken strips you get from Iceland . Absolutely awful . The price was a total rip off too at £15 each . We complained & sent it back as we couldn’t eat it . Have drinks but I’d say avoid the food .

Staying here originally for one night, but due to a red alert weather warning, turned out to be two, we were well impressed. Lovely friendly staff who can’t do enough for you, quality home cooked food and a great selection behind the bar. The place has a lovely atmosphere and the accommodation is clean and comfortable. Absolutely glad we chose to stay here.
