I picked the hotel for the secure car parking and nearby tram stop, as I had beeen told Grenoble centre parking was a nightmare. The hotel was a very pleasant suprise, helpful friendly staff, comfortable room, decent breakfast and 10 min tram ride to city centre. Grenoble is a great location for touring the mountains in the area. Very good value, I would happily stay again.

It was okay like very old then I expected the breakfast was good fresh The lady was very friendly juts very tiny too can’t really move shouldn’t of stayed there for then 1 night really bad smell in the hallways too

The Residhome Appart Hotel at the “Caserne de Bonne” in Grenoble was one of my classics in the pre-COVID era, and I came back to it recently in the context of a business trip to Grenoble. I was very happy to see that the excellent service, rooms and facilities are still in order. Obviously, we should not forget the amazing location of this hotel, right in the centre of Grenoble (with thus a bunch of shops and restaurants around). I therefore recommend it to anyone interested in a short visit to Grenoble. The room was very nice and clean, and large enough so that I could also work from it and prepare some refreshments in the kitchen space. My room only had a ceiling window, but I was not there for the view so that it was totally fine with me (although this may incommode some). Very importantly, the bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. In my reservation, breakfast was included, and I must say that it is a bit better when compared with other hotels of the same category in the Rhone-Alpes region (all basics are there, including in particular a great selection of cheese). Finally, the personnel of the hotel are friendly and always helpful.

Hotel is good, clean. Staff is polite. Unfortunately, the impression was lubricated by a small incident (refusal of settlement) when it turned out that the prepayment we made did not enter the hotel. To the honour of the hotel staff, they together with the customer support service trip.com quickly solved the problem. And yet, the hotel is a bit far from the center, but it wasn 't a big problem because we were able to drive to the center by tram. Breakfast is typically French, very delicious.

Loved our stay at Le Grand Hotel! The front desk was so welcoming and we loved our room (which had just been renovated). The room was not large but very standard size for France. The bathroom was bright and clean. The air conditioning worked very well which we were grateful for since it was quite warm during our visit. The hotel is in the city center and a quick 1 block walk to a tram station where you can go just about anywhere in the city (or beyond via the train station). There are also so many restaurants, retail shops, cafes, pharmacy and a grocery all nearby. It is a very short walk to the cable cars which take you up to Fort de la Bastille with sweeping views and a cool museum. If we ever venture back to Grenoble we will definitely return to Le Grand!

Malgré une ville peu attrayante digne d’un lugubre film d’auteur… Nous avons pris 3 chambres pour 6 et n’avons pas été déçu par ce lieu sans prétention. Bien que la devanture ne laisse rien présager de bon, l’hôtel est fort plaisant. Un petit déjeuner varié et bien remplie qui plaira à toute la famille, des chambre confortables et propres et un personnel très agréable. Le garage est un plus quand on connaît la ville et ses environ.. Des restaurants sont faciles d’accès ,étant proche de la gare, ainsi que plusieurs commerces. Nous n’y sommes restés que peu de temps mais l’expérience dans cet établissement nous a ravi.

Superior location. The hotel has good facilities. In front of the gate is the river. It's safe, too. I do a lot of running in the morning. Next to it is a new shopping mall. Later, I found that there are many noodles to eat. You can also see the scenery outside. Very good.

#Praise# for nearby activities, security, toiletries, nearby stores, location, cost-effective satisfaction; this hotel is the best I have felt for many tolerances and private tours in France, of course, it refers to the price/performance ratio. Especially living in room 502, a leap-floor apartment, plus a 15-square-meter terrace, you can overlook the snowy mountains and cliffs on both sides of the east and west, unobstructed. Stayed for three days to enjoy the sunrise and sunset of the snowy mountains of the Albis continuous mountains. The sun dyed the snowy mountains colorfully at different times and changed endlessly. The fifteenth moon rose from behind the snowy mountains in the evening, and the sun and moon were shining. The long-lost starry sky in the night sky is displayed in front of you. It's really beautiful, spectacular, and charming. We cooked our own dinner to the table on the terrace, accompanied by the sun and the moon, looked up at the stars, and spent an unforgettable day of sightseeing.
