We arrived checked in and that went great. Got to the room it was clean ready for our stay. The trouble started when we entered the room it was 78° so we turned on the AC and left for a round at Top golf. Came back 2.5 hours later room still 78°. Told the desk Christian was great and helped us. He also said this is a common thing there. But the remedy was here's a fan and open the window maintenance will look at it tomorrow. Tomorrow came maintenance said he reset the system and it should be better. We go out for a few hours, still 78° Finally a resolution, they gave us a suite. It was cool and nicely set up. We go for dinner and come back and get ready for bed.... We had bedmates. Bed bugs. That was when I told my partner to pack up we are gone. Talked to the lady at the desk she said she can check us out early. We went to gather our things and checked out. Not even a apology, not even an acknowledgement of something being wrong. Also a note the pool is not working and hasn't been since January.

First time staying at a Wingate, and we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel was very clean, the room was spacious, and the price was more than reasonable for what we got. It was so nice to take an evening to just relax and put our feet up. The afternoon snacks and all-day coffee were a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Would definitely stay again!
