Booked thos hotel for a quick overnight with family. Parking was easy. The lobby was clean. I had a friendly greeting from Greenly. He was warm, helpful and chexk in was super easy. The room was spacious and clean. There were 4 guests but only 3 sets of towels. I called to the front desk and Greenly answered the phone. He said he would bring the towels and they were there in no time. As we settled in, we ordered in food. They do not deliver to rooms, so we sent one person to the lobby. Because it was a larger order, Greenly saved the day again by helping tonbring up the order. We are very appreciative of this warm environment. Everything was perfect. Check out through the app went well. We had to leave before 6 am. We missed the breakfast but would definitely book again. Getting out that early, we left something at the hotel. We called back, it was at the front desk. Retrieving it was easy.

This hotel is in need of serious updates and repairs. The ceiling of the breakfast room has large chunks of paint hanging from it. Our room’s bathroom needs repairs to grout, the sliding shower door (gets stuck/hard to move) and had hair throughout. It was not clean. The room needs a refresh. The shelf hold the tv is leaning and about to collapse. The elevator shakes extensively when arriving to a floor, especially the 4th floor. They lack hospitality and knowledge about how to treat Marriott Bonvoy members. Especially the high tier members. Don’t count on receiving the benefits you are entitled to. They try to claim they are an independent hotel. Too bad their franchise agreement says differently. Don’t expect a late checkout, especially a 4 pm guaranteed late checkout for platinum. They try to apply rules that only are afforded higher level properties. I’d find another property.

ECU Graduation weekend. First charged 600 plus per night. Arrived Friday night, laid on bed and felt something wet on my bottom. Pulled sheet back, then mattress pad and mattress was soaked with urine. Took photos, went downstairs, showed photos to desk clerk and she apologized. Said hotel was full and gave me a towel and a change of sheets. Said we would be compensated. Next day moved to another room and the hot water did not work. Said we would be contacted by GM and two days later he finally returned my call. He offered us 10,000 points for our trouble, I refused! Found out the people that checked in Saturday were only paying 170.00 per night for the same room we were being charged 600 plus. I approached the 2nd shift clerk and showed her on their website. She reduced the room to 360.00. Still overcharged! STAY AWAY!!!

The grounds were neat and well kept. Greeley Peterson was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The room was very modern, clean, and fresh. Will stay again!!!
