The hotel facilities are a bit old, but the sanitary conditions are good. The central air conditioning downstairs is too noisy. Please report this to the hotel. The AC system is so noisy!

The room has some cosmetic issues on the ceiling in the entrance way, but everything else in the room was amazing! From the bed to the shower! The room was clean!! No stray hair anywhere! The young lady that checked me in was pleasant (I didn’t catch her name 😩) Ms. Janet in the club lounge was top tier! She was fantastic! I really enjoyed my stay and only wish it was a little longer!

Love staying at the Marriott Greensboro Downtown! Great location and friendly staff, including Kayesha at the front desk, Yvonne and Mikaley in the great room, and Carrie in sales. My husband and I enjoyed dinner at the lobby bar in the Great Room during a heavy rainstorm on July 6. The food and service were excellent, especially considering the storm outside.

Have stayed here twice in the past year. Hotel is clean and rooms are comfortable but the hotel is showing its age. We were there during a very heavy downpour and had so much water pouring in through our windows we had to call for extra towels to contain the damage. Lighter rain events that week didn’t have the same problem but the amount of water that came in during the downpour (like 10 hotel towels worth of water) was alarming. The gym and other rooms in our party also had flooding. (We were in 514.) Hotel staff quickly responded, reduced our nightly rate, and credited our Marriott account with points. On the bright side we could also see the fireworks from the baseball stadium from our room each night. I think this hotel needs some attention to ensure these water events aren’t damaging to the building’s infrastructure.

2 stars because: Rooms are small and very dated. Old furnishings, no luggage rack, wonky curtains that won’t shut, tiny bathroom. Speaking of the tiny bathroom, there’s no exhaust fan so all the steam makes the entire bathroom walls and ceiling wet so that drops of water fall from the ceiling and it’s creating bubbles in the sheet rock. Marriott is going to have a big problem if they just let this exist in all the rooms and don’t fix it. Sink doesn’t drain fast. The toilet water has an odor which in a small bathroom and bedroom - without an exhaust- just sits in the room like fog. I’d compare the room more like a Days Inn in the early 90’s.

What a wonderful experience. The hotel is great and the room was spotless and spacious. The best was Lamani at the front desk who completed the experience. She was wonderful. Very helpful and professional.
