Excellent room. Clean and spacious. The hotel was well located and the front desk personnel were helpful and courtious. The rim was squeaky clean and well furnished. The full size couch was comfortable.. We had a one bedroom unit that offered nice privacy.

After having to cancel a stay at the near by Wingate due to MOLD…we were fortunate in finding the Residence Inn. The room was clean, mold free, and had a kitchen that was very useful. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good and the pool open and heated.

Lest start with the fact that almost all of the staff is ridiculously rude for absolutely no reason attitude 24/8 only employee I appreciate was will at the front desk every time I expressed a issue he listens and tries to give advice to help instead of justifying the actions of the hotel. I PAID $170 plus$20 deposit and they kept trying to charge my card $200. I stayed a total of three nights the first night they charge 200 and also the second the third night which was my last night I put my foot down and told them that I would not be paying $200 for a $190 stay especially when I couldn’t even get a decent breakfast in the morning all they had to offer was oatmeal, bananas, and apples because I am a vegetarian but that wasn’t the whole reason of why I was not going to pay $200. The issue happened when I had my card unlocked and it automatically authorized for $200 when I knew that it was only supposed to be $190 so when I asked the guy at the front desk he told me that I was wrong. He told me that it was supposed to be $170 plus tax then when I showed him on my iPad that the $170 was included with tax he then went back on what he said and said oh yeah it’s supposed to be $151 plus tax so at that point I felt played and I felt lied to. I was very upset. So the next day when I went downstairs to pay for my room, I only made sure I had $190 on my card so when they went to swipe my card he said that it was declined I said no sir it has exactly the amount that’s supposed to be on there it has $191 on there to be exact. Is that how much the room is supposed to be? he proceeded to say in a very demanding voice and tone NO! There should be $200 on the card AND I PROCEEDED TO EXPLAIN TO HIM THAT MY RESERVATION ON THE BONVOY APP CLEARLY STATED THAT MY REGISTRATION WAS ONLY SUPPOSED TO BE $170 WITH TAX INCLUDED AND ANYBODY WHO USES THE BONVOY APP KNOWS THAT TAX IS ALWAYS INCLUDED IN THE FULL PRICE AND LESS YOU HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT WHICH WAS THE $20 WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN THE $190 THAT WAS ON MY CARD HE THEN PROCEEDED TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE HE WAS MAKING AN EXCEPTION TO SOME THING THAT WAS ALREADY SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN DONE THE DAY BEFORE AND HE SAID WELL I’LL MAKE TWO SEPARATE CHARGES. I’LL PUT A CHARGE FOR $170 AND ONE CHARGE FOR $20 AND THAT’LL COVER IT I SAID OK THAT IS FINE. I’M NOT UNDERSTANDING WHY THIS COULDN’T HAVE BEEN DONE ANY SOONER THE DAY BEFORE OF THIS INCIDENT I HAD A REALLY BAD ARGUMENT WITH THE GUY AT THE FRONT DESK. HE’S A HEAVYSET WHITE MALE, A LITTLE OLDER, AND HE LITERALLY HAD A FULL-BLOWN ARGUMENT WITH ME ABOUT HOW MUCH I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PAYING FOR THE ROOM SO AFTER THAT , THE ONLY ISSUE THAT I HAD WAS WITH THE BREAKFAST FOR ME TO BE PAYING ALMOST $200 A NIGHT AND THE ONLY THING THAT THEY ARE OFFERING THAT IS NOT MEATS OF OR A PART OF ANIMALS IS OATMEAL AND FRESH FRUIT AND THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT FAIR I’M CONFUSED SO JUST BECAUSE I DON’T WANT TO EAT MEAT I JUST HAVE TO BE PRETTY MUCH HUNGRY? IT’S NOT FAIR AT ALL AND SO I EXPRESSED M

This review deals strictly with management, their responsibility to their guests and the professionalism that should come with the job title they hold. My husband and I travel all over the country we are platinum elite for life status with Marriott for that very reason. At check in we always request a late check out. At the Greensboro residence inn we ask and we're granted the late check out. Next morning 2 separate times housekeeping knocked and woke us up. My husband called downstairs and spoke with Robert Operations Manager for this property. Once again operations Mgr. He verified we did have late check out and that he would relay that to housekeeping. 2 hrs later a knock again. Upon check out we approached the front desk. Robert (operations manager) never greeted us never looked up proceeded to log onto system my husband said Robert did u relay to housekeeping our late checkout status? Once again he has never looked up to even make eye contact. His response no I didn't I didn't have time. Nothing else said how was ure stay I'm sorry what can I do to make it right. As we exited my husband said Robert I've had no interaction w u no eye contact no apology. Another employee Tamara witnessed the way were treated. Unfortunately another guest who was at the property for a PGA tournament also had the same results w Robert. Customer service issued an open claim to the hotel. I reached out to GM Sherrie Gladney and received no response. Robert's actions reflect the property as well as the GM but obviously her standards are low also due to her lack of urgency. We will b contacting customer service again. I believe they need replacements in both positions.

Pick a different hotel if you can. I travel all over for business. I picked this because of the name and reputation the name has. This specific location does everything in my opinion at the minimum requirement - checkbox management (no above and beyond here). My guess is management does not realize they are in the hospitality business, they just think they are in "business" and that treatment resonates to all of the guests and employees (except Raven at the front desk...she was amazing, if you own a business in the area -hire her!). There are 5-6 hotels across the street here - check them out.

* I was given a key to a room that had already been rented out. My 8 year old enjoys traveling so she always opens up the door to the room upon opening the door to the room we discovered that the room had already been occupied and the couple was engaging in sexual activities. * And several of the rooms the railings in the bathroom were broken off. I explained this to the manager but to her ignorance she thought that we were referring to bathroom towels. I am traveling with my father who is a senior handicap veteran. It is very important that The railings are secure because they are stabilizing a A person. that is unable to stand on his own. Prior to booking the room we call the hotel and both the rooms directly with the hotel to avoid this type of issue. * The amenities that were mentioned on the website we're not available. * During checking we were informed that the hotel was under renovations the locks were being changed and shampooing of a carpet. * The hotel was selling out and there were limited amount of rooms available. We were encouraged by management to try and sister property. * We missed our engagement that we traveled 8 hours. We were completely ignored by Find management. Our concerns were never addressed properly. I'm very disgusted in the treatment that we received at a Marriott property.

Disappointed. We've stayed at numerous Residence Inns along the East coast and this specific Inn just doesn't measure up to Marriott standards found elsewhere. Rooms are smaller than expected and outdated. Furniture, furnishings, walls and appliances are old/damaged/scuffed/unsightly. Admittedly, the entry foyer and greeting area, including the trademerk Fireplace Pit, was under full renovation, with apology signs posted, but contractors began working at 6 AM daily, much to the annoyance of anyone within earshot of the hammering, drilling, cutting, grinding etc. Price is fair for the market, but the overall take-away is that the entire INN needs a full renovation to bring it to 2023 and ensure its future status.

This hotel's lobby adjacent to the breakfast area is under renovation. Seems to be floor work, framing and Sheetrock so there is dust everywhere. In addition, there is exposed insulation hanging from the ceiling right next to tables where guests are eating. The front door is intermittently blocked and the path to enter is not well lit. The check in desk has construction related decor and there is an odd table with Valentine's Day cupcakes and small bottles of water and it's not clear who these are for since they are not offered. The staff at breakfast time works very hard and really tries to make a pleasant experience. Front Desk? Not so much. It seems like they are under a lot of stress (renovations can be like that) and none of the encounters we had were friendly or warm. I overheard one person making a point of telling another guest that the hotel *rooms* were not under renovation and so they didn't need to post it on their website. Unnecessarily snarky considering the amount of caution tape all through the lobby that guests had to navigate around. Overall, the rooms are nice and clean and well maintained. The fire pit was cozy and the breakfast staff was very kind. I would give them another shot because of the brand and proximity to the airport for business travel but this trip was annoying due to some minor inconveniences.

This used to be a good hotel. It has recently gone downhill to the point where I would compare it to a 2 star hotel. The breakfast is lacking. It was good before, but its bad now. The property is no longer being maintained properly. The drapes in my room wouldn't close completely, they had big visible stains, and even had holes in them. There were very dark water stains on the ceiling. The tub had issues. I was at the his hotel from Tuesday to Friday and my room was never cleaned. In the past, the staff was friendly and helpful. Not so much now. It felt like a cheap motel. I will not be staying here again.
