The Tropicana Beach Resort has become my home away from home and is by far one of the most comfortable places I've laid my head in Liberia West Africa. This was my third time staying at Tropicana Beach Resort along with multiple day trips over the past 1.5 years. Upon my arrival I was warmly welcomed as usual by the friendly and helpful staff. Mr. John William with his professional attitude has always gone out of his way to make my stays and visits pleasant and most comfortable. The bungalow style rooms are super clean and comfortable with easy access to the pools and beach. The restaurant is a good dining experience as well with large portions of food with friendly professional service staff who are always smiling and quick to assist. Again I would like to thank Mr. Samir Al Kadi (CEO) and his staff for always going the extra step in making my visits and stays most enjoyable!!!

My stay at this hotel was more pleasant than I expected. The staff was friendly and helpful, the Wi-Fi worked great the whole time, and the air conditioner was reliable. The restaurant will be small, but that should be your standard expectation while traveling in this area. I emailed with the hotel staff prior to arrival and he arranged an airport transfer for me as well.

Lifestyle Luxury is a fairly new hotel in Thinker Village south of Monrovia. The area is safe but busy. Traffic can be a nightmare. Service is good but the receptionist can be cold. Bellman and security are excellent. Note: I have 2 Amex cards - gold and platinum and it did not accept after calling my bank prior to arriving in Liberia. They did require a cash deposit of $150 which is not necessary if you paid in full from an aggregate site like ******* or **********. The food prices and snack prices exorbitant for the hotel and the area. Drink prices are $5.00 for beer and well drinks $8.00USD. The local beer on the street is $1.50. Gym was very nice and the pool was refreshing. The elevator stopped working several times while I was there and power went out but backup came on within 30 seconds or less. The plus is the hot water showers. Very good. Liberia needs to up the tourism and this hotel is a start. Not for long term. Trust my reviews.
