Incredible views over the sea and absolutely charming, helpful owners. Breakfast was great too. There are no bars or restaurants in easy walking distance but lots within 10 minutes drive. We were offered plenty of excellent recommendations too.

Excellent location. Extremely attentive and welcoming host. Fabulous room and facilities. Great breakfast. Every request was catered for and more. Location was fantastic with great little restaurant around the corner- which the host booked for us.

Nach 2008 waren wir das zweite Mal im 138 Marine. Es war, wie nach Hause kommen...., obwohl wir auch damals nur zwei Nächte geblieben sind. Damals haben wir vom Frühstücksraum Wale gesehen, dafür waren wir in diesem Jahr zu spät. Es war toll, auch die Eigentümer wiederzusehen. Vielen Dank Louis und Jena :-) We are now in Wilderness.

A must do when you travel to Hermanus. It feels like family, so cosy, so nice and helpful with al kind of tips for visiting the area. The breakfast is to die for, so delicious. Merryl, the manager, was so nice, every morning we had a nice chat with her. But also the room was perfect and with so much detail. Very clean and a good bed and ofcourse perfect view at the ocean. We absolute will come back and stay again at 138 Marine

High class accommodation and service
We stayed here just for 2 nights but enjoyed the comfortable room and especially the excellent breakfasts in the lovely dining area. The sea views are wonderful and the area felt very safe. Just a short drive from Hermanus

Superb location and service
Hotel is in superb location with stunning views. We walked to local restaurants, the Fat Fish was superb. Excellent breakfast and staff who can’t do enough. Recommend it for your stay. Two very minor issues - sadly we didn’t have sea view and the wind blew the door open if not locked.

Excellent host and a wonderful location.
From a lovely welcome onwards our stay was relaxed, comfortable and exactly what we had hoped for.
Our 2 rooms were both very well plamned and equipped, and the upstairs room was particularly spacious.
Breakfast was tasty and gave us an opportunity to chat with both the hosts and a guest.
We could walk from the door to the beach in 2 minutes, and enjoyed both the upstairs deck and the garden when relaxing at the b&b.
Top marks for wonderful hosting. Thank you.
