Blombos Self-Catering House

We really enjoyed our stay at Lobelia House : the setting is just gorgeous, the house spacious and clear and equipped with all you need : a nice big kitchen/ lounge area, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with perfect showers and a bath, and a great braai stoep. The garden is lush, with splendid views on the mountains and the coast. We also appreciated the farmlife, the restaurant and the nursery and the super friendly people who run Groeneweide Farm ! I cant wait to come back

Owners are absolutely rude, and disrespectful! The food is old and disgusting, nothing farm fresh as the meals are prepared days prior to anyone visiting the farm! The only attraction is the animals and the kid's interaction/playground.

Groeneweide is amazing. We've stayed at Groeneweide a few times and find ourselves returning there each time we need fresh air again. We enjoyed the tranquility and the kids loved the vast play area and farm animals. Our son enjoyed assisting Matilda with some gardening. If you're into parkruns, you'll be able to do the Groeneweide Parkrun on a Saturday. Matilda and the staff are amazing and we always feel at home there. Thanks for making each stay a memorable one.

An amazing place that caters for all .relaxing fun adventure!!!!! The kids loved the placed , the walks have the perfect view.The accommodation was great .and the on site farm restaurant organic food was so good .

The cottage we stayed in is situated at the back of the farm against the mountains - far removed from the noisy bustling crowds. It's peaceful and quiet, with only the sound of the breeze, and farm animals in the distance. The farm is a short drive (5 to 10 min) away from the sea, with lots of secluded rock pools to explore. Soft shoes are recommended (to avoid hurting your feet on the sharp rocks or damaging the unspoiled choral and sea life by stepping on them). The water is clean but very cold - perfect on a hot day - but extra insulation is maybe needed on cooler days. There is a restaurant on the farm serving breakfast and lunch. Kuslangs in Franskraal has the best fish and chips. The great white shark restaurant nearby also has very good seafood. It seems to be quite popular so make a reservation before you go. Our host was very welcoming and polite. The cottage is very well kept, clean, and secure. The bathrooms are spacious and there is plenty of hot water. We had more than enough room for three of us to have our personal space. The kitchen has all of the cooking essentials. We felt completely at home and could just completely unwind.

A beautiful Farm stay , in the true sense of the word , wonderful location and picturesque vistas, walking trails and a stones throw from beaches , highly recommended, Hosts were friendly, informative and best of unobtrusive, large rooms walk in showers , fireplace and everything you need for self catering, One for your bucket list
