Timble Inn

Lovely rooms full of original character but totally modern and clean. Exceptionally comfortable beds and the silence of the village led to a wonderful nights sleep. Breakfast and evening meals were delicious and staff genuinely friendly. We will definitely return.

We visited the Timble Inn for the first time for lunch. The Inn itself is lovely, very cosy and immaculately clean with a warm and friendly welcome from staff. The food was of an excellent standard and could not be faulted. Good sized portions, very well presented and a reasonable price. The village location is peaceful with beautiful countryside around. We will definitely return and have an overnight stay.

If you want to treat yourself, a great place to start. The staff were warm and friendly. They obviously enjoy what they do and are passionate about making your stay as comfortable as possible. The Venue is lovely, lots of attention to detail in the design and taste. Food was amazing. Great Vegan option, freshly cooked. Stayed one night. The room was beautiful and tasteful. Everything you needed was there. Quiet and peaceful sleep.

We stayed at The Timble for just one night, taking advantage of their Sunday night offer. The inn has been tastefully modernised and has the feel of a boutique hotel with restaurant. Our bedroom was very nice, with a large comfortable bed and modern ensuite bathroom. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and well presented and all the staff were lovely - very attentive, but relaxed and friendly in a proper Yorkshire way! We can’t wait to go back.

We’re lucky enough to live a fifteen minute drive from the Timble Inn, and it’s one of the best things about the wonderful place we call home. On this visit, we were with my mum, who’s just moved to the area, and I’ve never seen someone fall in love with a pub so hard and so fast. The service is lovely - friendly and thoughtful and funny, and the staff (Judith in particular) couldn’t have been better with the kids - and the food is genuinely wonderful: pub food plus. Amazing roasts (the lamb loin in particular was astonishingly good), with massive fluffy Yorkshires, cracking roasties, and a massive bowl of sticky, delicious cauliflower cheese, and the desserts left some very demanding sweet-tooth’s thoroughly satisfied. Not the first time we’ve paid the Timble Inn a visit, and it certainly won’t be the last.

This is a boutique hotel, restaurant with rooms I guess, that gets everything absolutely right. We stayed in one of the superior rooms, obviously recently refurbished to the highest standard, it was just perfect perhaps best illustrated by some very personal touches such as: wonderful home baked cookies, cafetière, top of the range toiletries as well as getting the big things: bed, bedding, shower etc etc spot on. We had the Sunday night special dinner for residents, which was fabulous, and the restaurant well worthy of its awards. As others have mentioned, the stuff are so friendly and delightful. It might’ve been a last-minute special deal, and we did book direct, but we got a five star experience at what, to us, seems far below the going rate; but we didn’t complain about that.!!
