The Lamb Inn

Absolutely terrible service from front of house. Me and my wife have recently came for dinner at the lamb inn for the first time in a long time. Waited 20 minutes to get served at the bar and waited even longer for our food to be taken! I can only describe the staff as not wanting to be there and very laid back. Two staff members a scruffy looking bloke and a short brown/black haired woman was just standing talking at the bar having a laugh like they were old friends instead of looking after the customers. I miss the old staff although they were young they were very helpful and always around to take orders or to have a quick chat making us feel welcome. I’m really disappointed with the new management in this place the food is good not great but better than it was before. This will be our last time going to the lamb inn which is a shame as we like it there it’s full of history! Bring back the old staff and maybe we will think about returning. Other than that I think we are done there

We found this beautiful pub to be exactly as shown on the website - tastefully decorated, great ales, and a perfect location to explore the surrounding area. Our room (Stow) was spacious and comfortable and we both had two lovely nights sleep in the large bed. After a pint of Brakspear Oxford Gold (for me) we ordered the roast beef from the Sunday menu. Wow! This was one of the best roast dinners I’ve had and can’t recommend it more highly. Haddock & chips the second night was also up there too. We do love our food! We were well looked after by Amy and the other members of staff and wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Lamb Inn next time we visit the Cotswolds :-)

The fifth time I have eaten at the Lamb and the fifth time I have not been disappointed. Breakfast, lunch and dinner have all been exceptional. I would definitely recommend the food and the location is simply stunning. What better way is there to spend a sunny day!

Lovely Cotswold location with peaceful surroundings yet near to most places. The greeting from Amy on arrival was fantastic explaining everything and helping us book dinner, reserve tables and understand the area we were in. The EV chargers are now up and running and this was a great bonus based on our location and long journey home!! We had plenty of interaction over the weekend with Milly in the bar who we all clicked with and who was a brilliant host to our group of six so thank you !! Lastly the food was wonderful both at breakfast and for dinner where we dined both nights and had a wide array of offerings all cooked perfectly.
