The Kicking Dickey

14 august. Today we visited my brother and sister in law, they took us to the Kicking Dickey for lunch. As soon as we entered we loved the atmosphere and layout of this lovely place. Service was wonderful, friendly and professional. Variety on the menu was well thought out and the food was beautifully cooked . the whole experience turned a lovely family visit into a very memorable event. think my brother will be getting more visits soon. Thank you.

The property is perfect for Stansted airport but our room was cold . Could have done with the heating on and extra covers for the bed .

We stopped here on our way to the Travelodge just up the road ready for an early flight. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was very nice, fresh and large portions, I had the Stroganoff off the specials menu and personally would have liked more of a creamy sauce but it was still very nice. Bar area, toilets and outside space were all very clean. We will definitely eat here again and now we know they do rooms we will definitely look at staying here before our next holiday.

Rooms not great, pub food ok Room was damp and cold. Bed mattress springs were in your back and couldn’t sleep. Food was nice in the pub though.

Reasonable price stay for travelling to Stanstead airport. Would reccomend.

Friendly and great value Lovely pub. The room was in an outbuilding behind it - simple but clean and nicely decorated. Friendly welcome and great service. Mattress wasn't the most comfortable, but all in all a lovely place to stay at a very good price - I would definitely stay again.
