Awesome! Quiet, secluded setting was just what we wanted. Spent a lot of time in the screened in porch and the hot tub. Was worried with no AC in the middle of a hot July, but was comfortable especially at night with a nice breeze thru the many screened windows. Has everything you need, perfect vacation! (Also, make sure to see the wild horses)

Cozy and tranquil weekend retreat.
After a particularly exhausting week, I'd had enough of being accessible and decided I needed to get away. I pulled up VRBO during a meeting I was 25% paying attention to so that I coule browse options within a resonable driving distance (six hours or less) from DC for a weekend getaway - and then I found the Steel Nest. From the pictures, it was exactly what I needed - nature, solace and a hot tub. I arrived on a Friday evening, shortly before sunset and knew that I had made the right choice. I enjoyed a lazy evening on the three seasons room amongst the cool night air. In the wee hours of the morning, I was awoken by the thunder as lightening lit up the windows on three sides of the primary bedroom and rain plinked on the roof. After waking at a more reasonable hour, I took a walk around the property as I waited for my Instacart order from Food City to arrive in time for a late breakfast. The rest of the day was spent reading, relaxing in the hot tub, listening to the rustle of the trees or an errant cow moo (and perhaps the cow may have overheard me singing terribly off key, but full of joy). I left on Sunday at 10:30am and check out was a breeze. I didn't need anything from Allison during my stay, but her hospitality before arriving and after departing as well as the thoughtfulness of the home's app was lovely. Thabk you again, Allison, for letting me reset at the Steel Nest. Until next time.

Very Private
The house is very thoughtful in its construction. Simple ,Modern and rustic all.at once. Bocce ball court is a great addition we enjoyed playing. Trail around property was perfect for afternoon walks. We loved it. Oh and guitar was an added bonus as well.
