Ashfield House

Tucked away in the busy small village of Grassington, is a quirky old house with all its squeaky floorboards and amazing history. The hearty breakfasts will keep you going until the afternoon. The staff are so very friendly and helpful. Our room looked over the beautiful gardens with table and chairs to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Our room was comfortable. The house is ideally situated because there are so many stunning walks available on your doorstep without touching the car. Circular long walks to Burnsall or a short stroll to Linton falls, stepping stones and the beautiful church and graveyard of St. Michael’s and All Angels. There are so many places to eat and drink in the village The Black Horse and Plaza Uno were our favourites. ( reviews to follow ) Not forgetting the delicious fish and chip shop, we sat at the bus stop and ate ours in the sunshine as it just dipped behind the trees, watching the world go by.

Fantastic B&B! We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay in early July. We were accompanied by two other couples, who also had a great experience. We chose Ashfield House because we were walking 3 sections of the Dales Way and preferred to stay in one location. Grassington is a great spot from which to do this. We took our large 4x4 and had no problems accessing the property, which is centrally located, tucked away behind the main street. The parking is deceptively spacious and Lyn was extremely helpful on arrival and departure, ensuring that our vehicle was safely parked and not an inconvenience to other guests. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very clean and beds super comfortable. The communal areas (entrance hallway, guests' lounge, breakfast rooms) are spacious which was ideal for our group. As we were arriving and departing at the same time with walking gear, the large hallway was a bonus. The lounge was ideal for us to gather in before heading out for supper and the breakfast areas and fantastic food ensured a perfect start to our day's walks. The service at all times was so efficient. Lyn and her team really work hard in a very discreet way to make your stay so good. Thank you! Staying at Ashfield House in Grassington is a delightful experience. You will feel like you are living in an episode of All Creatures Great and Small. The house is very pretty and the gardens provide a lovely atmosphere. The rooms are very clean and have great views. The breakfast is perfect. If you are gluten free or on a Keto diet, there is food for you. Do not miss out on the scrambled eggs. They are so yummy. The best part is the people who work here. They go out of their way to be so kind and welcoming.
