We booked a suite for 3 nights(£400 per night) to include breakfast (£40)pp each day. Room 11, tired, wicker balcony chairs falling apart. Cracked sink, cracked bathroom tiles,. Balcony overlooking large Air con unit. Breakfast sparse, cereals , fruits etc with pre cooked fried eggs. Reluctance to cook fresh fried eggs!! Dinner menu so limited.. set menu upwards 90 euros. one course from 3 set menus.. prices for each dish 45 - 55 euros! Dated food and poor quality. Head waiter extremely rude.. we don't drink, no alcohol free beers etc.. only given a mocktail.. prune juice with red fruit ..awful. Plastic flower display outside the breakfast room. Pool with broken sun umbrellas, tiles by pool chipped and dangerous. A terrible experience of Grasse and a Relais et Chateaux hotel....we expect much much better!! Needless to say the reception did not ask us if we had enjoyed our stay!

C'est la troisième fois que je séjourne à l'hôtel, mais la première en plein été. L'endroit est toujours aussi agréable et le restaurant gastronomique propose des plats savoureux qui indiquent que le Chef entend faire partager son goût pour la cuisine à ses clients. Le seul hic, c'est le service pendant le diner : totalement désorganisé, toute l'équipe, composée d'une dizaine de serveurs s'occupe de tout, et donc au final de rien particulier : les tables ne sont pas servies dans leur ordre de prise de commande, le service est totalement erratique car rien n'est fait de manière logique (exemple : je ne reprends pas de vin quad le serveur me le propose, donc il m'enlève mon verre à vin alors que nous n'en sommes qu'à la moitié de la bouteille !). Cette absence d'organisation engendre un stress de toute l'équipe qui se ressent quand on est à table. De plus, le personnel parle trop avec la clientèle, ce qui donne une ambiance "brasserie" et non gastro. C'est fort dommage car cela gâche le plaisir du lieu et de la qualité des mets servis.

Lovely boutique hotel but this place is really a destination restaurant with a few rooms. Very peaceful, spacious rooms, nice pool and fine dining restaurant which was disappointing. I ordered the chicken with lentils and veg and was served a dry old piece of chicken breast, with a few lentils and tiny wee carrot and asparagus pieces. Not what you expect from a Relais Chateaux Hotel. The breakfast however, was wonderful out on the roof top terrace. This hotel is not really walkable into Grasse, unless you're into hiking; it is quite remote and in my opinion, not very good value for money. Below standard compared to other Relais Chateaux hotels we've stayed in.

Die Lage des Hotels und die Zimmer sind speziell schön und hochwertig. Allerdings dreht sich im Hotel alles um das Restaurant, das wir nicht bewerten können. Das Hotel selber braucht etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit (defekte Toilette, defekte Dusche beim Pool, die schönen Sitzplätze im Garten gibt es nicht mehr, oder sind defekt). Enttäuschend war das teure Frühstück, Standard ohne regionale Produkte (Provence!), das 2. mal waren 90 Minuten vor Schluss die Frischprodukte ausgegangen. Der Service war einmal sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, einmal überfordert und hat uns eher als Last wahrgenommen. (Der Kellner klappte den defekten Sonnenschirm einfach zu und liess das andere Paar in der Sonne sitzen...). Das Hotel verdient keine 5 Sterne, das Restaurant ist sicher oberste Liga.

Lage Lage Lage! Am Rand von Grasse mit großartigem Blick bis zur Küste inmitten eines großen Olivenhaines. Classique Zimmer klein, aber wie beschrieben. Das Badezimmer war groß und die Dusche hervorragend!!!! Die Frühstücksterrasse hat auch den schönen Blick. Das Buffet sieht dürftig aus für 36€/Person, allerdings bekommt man auf Nachfrage auch Dinge wie frischen O‘Saft und Lachs. Einmal haben wir im Restaurant gegessen. Die Preise für das 4-Gang Menu fanden wir angemessen, Getränke sind sehr teuer! Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt ein schönes Erlebnis!

Too little personnel. Food was ordinary. Both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant priced much too high for what we got. We had an ant invasion on the breakfast table one of the days. Did not stimulate appetite. The rooms had not been renovated for a long time. If priced reasonably it would have been acceptable. The people that worked at the Bastide were all friendly.
