I stayed here for one night on my way East. I picked the motel instead of the Inn as I wanted a shower but the old Inn only has tubs. I had to check in at the Inn, but had to wait until the lady was done tending to diners in the restaurant. The wind from the hurricane was fierce so I was glad that I got to park right at the door to my room. There was only an overhead light and a table lamp. There was a nice lighting over the sink however. The shower was fine and the room was clean and tidy. I slept OK but he bed was very small. I had breakfast in the dining room of the Inn and it was great.

Base room with no extras. Parking tight with larger vehicles. DG close by for items you may need. Restaurant food was fair but slightly pricey but things seem to cost more nowadays. Business trip so watching costs so it worked.

We went for dinner and enjoyed the meal. We had the crab soup to start which was excellent. For mains we had the meatloaf which you don’t see on a menu very often and it was excellent with a side of mashed potatoes. Unfortunately the brown gravy left a lot to be desired. Side salad was excellent. Nice dining room with plenty of atmosphere.

We stayed at the Casselman Motel for one night. It was clean and quiet, and a bit old school, which was fun. When making the reservation, we requested a refrigerator in the room and it was there when we arrived. Staff was pleasant. Property is located just off of Interstate 68, so it is convenient to get to. Wish we could have had a meal in the hotel restaurant . We will definitely consider staying here again when next in the area.

I can't believe this place (the Dorsey Suite) cost over $200/night. The front desk staff was extremely rude upon check-in - she left the desk and never came back - I had to go find a worker in the restaurant to check me in. Sunday there's only some OJ and bread and coffee, not the full breakfast in the restaurant as on other days; there were no curtains in the room and the streetlights led the room to be too-bright all night - that, along with the very hard pillows, tiny bed (and I'm only 5'1") and old bed that tilted b/c the mattress was so old, led to no sleep for me; plus, I heard something (mice?) running in the walls all night. Plus, there was no shower in the room; for that amount of money for one night, I don't want to have to go down the hall to use a shared shower.

Usually it’s always been a 5 Star stay here at the Cassleman motel, but this trip the service was lacking in the motel. Still a better option to stay here than the chain motel along the interstate. Housekeeping services are lacking, only used housekeeping services 1 out of my 3 night stay, shampoo wasn’t replenished nor was the toilet paper. Thank god there was a box of tissues. Usually those are 2 things that a hotel guest tends to use. Here’s a idea to management - put refrigerators in all the rooms - so guests can patronize the local restaurants in the area & keep they’re food refrigerated, as of now it states you need to make a special request for a fridge. They used to have Mennonite women working here - doesn’t seem like that’s the case both at the motel & restaurant.
