Location was perfect, Decor in room requires freshening up, Back of the door and part of facings were fresh painted but not completed. Shower requires cleaning (Black mould just needs Bleaching ) and the plastic seals replaced They were yellowed with age. Staff were Very efficient and Friendly 😀

Very pleased with this hotel. Warm welcome. Clean ,quiet ground floor room with easy access to outside. Green policy to only clean room if requested. We will use this hotel again and appreciated the price through e trip.com

Very old and tired hotel first room had chunks peeling off the walls
Asked to move and second room wifi didn’t work in room
Wouldn’t be moved again when you could see rooms were free. Staff were pretty rough looking.

We have stayed in granton in our caravan for many years and passed this hotel many times but this time I wished we had passed it again. Fly fishing country. You could fly fish via the dampness on our tiny rooms ceiling. We asked where the to was as our friends had one in their room. Oh their is only one room in the hotel that had a broken to and I’m afraid you have it. That was it no sorry no lower room cost nothing. Ok then there was the ignorant barman but enough said about him. This place feels like an old condemned national trust hotel. Never again sorry.

1.No towels or soap in our room on arrival. 2.Collection of hair on bathroom floor on arrival. 3.Two fire doors regularly wedged open on ground floor. 4. Black hand grime on communal doors. 5. Stale salad leaves regularly served at evening meals. 6. “Warm roll” was never served with soup starter despite description on menu describing this as a choice. 7.Ground floor fire escape door wedged open every day allowing leaves and debris to blow into corridor directly outside our room.

Lovely food! My partner and I stayed last week as part of a tour of the Scottish Highlands. Our room was comfortable and clean and the food was excellent and very nicely presented. The service was occasionally a bit haphazard (I'm thinking young, inexperienced staff) but no problems and nobody was going to starve. The surrounding countryside was beautiful - great suggestions for woodland walks from some of the hotel staff.

After booking last minute, we were surprised by the £63 cost and we were totally surprised and after being shown to the room 122 a dismal , unkept room , no hallway light that worked, bottom sheets on beds were actually duvet covers and therefore did not fit. Bathroom which had obviously not been touched since the 1950s, no blind in window, toilet was soiled upon arrival, floor giving way outside room. All in all an absolute shocking room. Would and will not stay again. The staff were very nice and polite at all times shame the hotel itself let them down. Time management actually read and actioned these reviews
