Loved it! Great B&B, the stay was perfect. Highly recommended!

During our three-night stay at Mount Barker, we enjoyed our spacious guest room at the lovely B&B. The standout feature was the large, bright bathroom with a freestanding bathtub. Additionally, there is a living room available for B&B guests, equipped with a couch, fireplace, and dining table. The host, Karen, is very dedicated and serves a variety of breakfast dishes in the living room, which guests can pre-order the night before. The location is both quiet and central. The only minor issue was that the bed was a bit too soft for our liking. Gook to know: Guests are asked to remove their shoes when entering and provided with Crocs to wear inside.

Bitte komplett lesen!

Absolutely magnificent property and owner! Wonderful breakfast and the town is so lovely, so many things to do and near to everything in the Highlands (whiskey, gin tours, hiking)! Definitely stay here!

Great place to stay. A little different in that they dont produce a cooked breakfast every morning but the well stocked fridge that every room has is brilliant. The place itself is a little tricky to find but is well worth the search as it is pristine. The place is spotless and the owners are helpful & very friendly. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

Just spent four nights at the Mount Barker Inn. It was fantastic. We have stayed at many B and Bs over the years and this one is one of the very, very best. It is well located in a quiet residential area two blocks off the main street. Grocery shopping, restaurants, and small local shops are within walking distance. They have plenty of on-site parking for your vehicle. Many great things to do north and south of the town. Our room was perfect, the best we had on this 3.5 week tour of Scotland and England. Large room, great view of the ground, nice king bed for a tall couple, a huge bathroom including a walk-in shower and claw-foot tub. Mini refrig was handy. Decor was excellent. Breakfasts were a joy. The full breakfast was cooked to order. Love those eggs! And the French toast was prepared just right. The host and hostess will take great care of you. Stay here and you will not be disappointed.

Karen and Alyx were great. Very welcoming and they made sure we had everything we needed, including a great dinner reservation down the street. The Mt Barker bed and breakfast is in the lovely town of Grantown-on-Spey. The town is accessible and walkable, altho we had a car. The home is lovely and well cared for. There are two rooms available and they are superbly decorated as is the house. Karen is a detail gal and it is evident in her furnishings. The bed was very comfortable, we slept very well, the bed linens of high quality and SO comfortable as were the pillows! The towels were thick and I wished I had them at home! The bedroom was large and the details were perfect, coffee and a biscuit for the morning, a small fridge for my milk, slippers for our entry into the home, robes in the armoire, a mat for the suitcases. The sitting area had interesting books and history of the area. As you can imagine, the breakfasts were exceptional. Filling and delicious! We felt we were in a home rather than a bed and breakfast I would highly recommend the Mt Barker! You will enjoy your stay, feeling pampered but not overwhelmed by hour warm and welcoming hosts.

We stayed in the self service room or apartment. It’s big with a kitchen (large and supplied with good supplies), living room, 2 bedrooms and a separaat bath room. All clean and big. - you have to take 2 big stairs because you are on the second floor. - there are also 2 normal rooms, lot smaller then the apartment - more then enough parking space - kitchen has a big freezer and a fridge. - Supermarket is 50 meters away and has everything you’ll need - in a circle of 400 meters you’ll find over 5 restaurants.

Stayed for 9 nights in July/August 2022. Room was absoultely stunning. Lots of space, plenty of drawers to put items in. Coffee machine, Kettle, Fridge, Plenty of different teas and coffees. Huge and very comfaortable double bed. Lots of windows, so plenty of light. Karen and Alick were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Gave good advice, and knew places to visit. Breakfast was always fresh and hot, with quite a large selection. Room was always cleaned the next day, fresh towels and linen. Would recommend a stay there to anyone.
