Our stay was absolutely perfect! The room was beautifully decorated, the house stunning, everything was immaculately clean. Breakfasts were fresh, very tasty, and beautifully plated. Karen’s attention to detail was evident in every aspect. She was incredibly helpful before and during our stay. She even emailed a few weeks ahead of our stay with the suggestion to book our dinner reservations ahead of time and sent a list of good suggestions. Glad we did! Can’t say enough good things about our stay!

During our three-night stay at Mount Barker, we enjoyed our spacious guest room at the lovely B&B. The standout feature was the large, bright bathroom with a freestanding bathtub. Additionally, there is a living room available for B&B guests, equipped with a couch, fireplace, and dining table. The host, Karen, is very dedicated and serves a variety of breakfast dishes in the living room, which guests can pre-order the night before. The location is both quiet and central. The only minor issue was that the bed was a bit too soft for our liking. Gook to know: Guests are asked to remove their shoes when entering and provided with Crocs to wear inside.

Bitte komplett lesen!

Absolutely magnificent property and owner! Wonderful breakfast and the town is so lovely, so many things to do and near to everything in the Highlands (whiskey, gin tours, hiking)! Definitely stay here!

Great place to stay. A little different in that they dont produce a cooked breakfast every morning but the well stocked fridge that every room has is brilliant. The place itself is a little tricky to find but is well worth the search as it is pristine. The place is spotless and the owners are helpful & very friendly. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

Just spent four nights at the Mount Barker Inn. It was fantastic. We have stayed at many B and Bs over the years and this one is one of the very, very best. It is well located in a quiet residential area two blocks off the main street. Grocery shopping, restaurants, and small local shops are within walking distance. They have plenty of on-site parking for your vehicle. Many great things to do north and south of the town. Our room was perfect, the best we had on this 3.5 week tour of Scotland and England. Large room, great view of the ground, nice king bed for a tall couple, a huge bathroom including a walk-in shower and claw-foot tub. Mini refrig was handy. Decor was excellent. Breakfasts were a joy. The full breakfast was cooked to order. Love those eggs! And the French toast was prepared just right. The host and hostess will take great care of you. Stay here and you will not be disappointed.
