What a great hotel. Welcome was so good, friendly receptionist. Room was amazing huge bed and a humongous bathroom, both rooms immaculate and room was nice and warm. Had drink in Bar very polite staff and one asked if he could use a hoover that may disturb us Dinner was superb great food and large selection. Again staff most attentive and polite. Lovely breakfast which I enjoyed. Really great one night stay but we will be back and have already recommended to our friends

My 10th, yes 10th stay at this marvellous hotel. On this occasion my wife and I went there for a short sightseeing break. As ever Craig the Manager and the staff were wonderful. We visited Edinburgh including the castle, Stirling Castle, the Falkirk Wheel, the Wallace monument and Loch Lomond. All these wonderful sights are within 20 to 40 mins by car from Grangemouth, and Edinburgh airport is 30 mins away.

The staff were so pleasant and helpful. The food was really lovely, my prawn cocktail was one of the best I’ve ever had. We slept well. I cannot honestly find or think of anything to complain about. I’ve just got praise 😀 it’s good for seeing the local attractions snd we went to the kelpies, Falkirk wheel and calendar house, scones in the kelpies cage are 5* .

This is a lovely hotel. We stayed two nights. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was very clean and spacious with a huge bed which was comfortable but the pillows could have been better. There was a step up into a huge bathroom with separate bath & shower, which again was very clean. Breakfast was hearty and very enjoyable. The bar/restaurant, Treetops, was comfortable and staff were again very welcoming and helpful. The food here was superb. Interesting varied menu, cooked extremely well. Worth the visit alone. Would definitely come back just to eat here. The only thing I have to seriously criticise is how lacking this building is in accessibility. They're honest about having no lift, but there are random steps throughout, narrow corridors, and a very limited choice of accessible tables in the restaurant. There was a step up to the bathroom in our room, and many rooms had steps into them. It's quite common in older buildings and very unfortunate in an otherwise very good place to stay.

We stayed one night as in Grangemouth for a friends party. We had a single and double room. I was in the single, clean and bed comfy but shower didn’t work which I didn’t realise until standing under it so had to wash my hair over the bath with a cup. Furniture in both rooms was dated and old. Even as a 3 star I would expect it to be more modern than it was - in general expensive for what it is !! On the plus side, the staff are exceptionally helpful, polite and professional

We have stayed here 5 times over the last 10 years because it is located close to visiting friends. The rooms desperately need TLC such as carpets, wall paper, painting, window furnishings, furniture etc. A bath refurbished done some years ago was lacking forethought such as power points for shavers in one room. The staff are friendly, and the rooms are relatively clean given the overall tiredness of the hotel. We stayed their 2 nights but only ate in the hotel one night. Hamburger needed more moisture and flavour such as a nice sauce, it was bland. Gammon steak and pineapple was so tough that a steak knife struggled to cut it. I think they might have too much on the menu to do focus on better quality.
