There is no air cooler in the room and my room got changed without my concern. I don’t recommend anyone doing online booking and don’t take rockside rooms. It smells bad and not worth the money and, there is no such sea view you would get from the hotel.

Web page mentions Salt marsh lamb locally sourced beef and game.None of this was on the menu and what was on the very limited menu was vastly overpriced.I had a gammon steak was absolutely shocking.Buffet breakfast with everything tepid or cold.Staff very friendly and amenable. Would I stop here again? Not on your Nelly ! Ps not all rooms have stunning views

Lets get my gripe out of the way first. When booking, I mad clear that the presence of a lift was important to me because of my age and lack of movement. It was confirmed that there was a lift. Imagine my distress when, on arrival, I found it to be not working and it was 26 steps to my room (not counting the 16 steps required to get into the hotel). 52 steps just to pop down for breakfast or the bar! To be fair, I was given a very generous discount in compensation on my final bill. The hotel is a beautiful building in a lovely setting. Great views over Morecambe bay from my bedroom and the dining rooms. My room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean. The old window-sills showed their age. The breakfast was excellent and I was quite touched when staff assisted me in getting food from the help-yourself buffet. The menu for dinner was imaginative; the food was excellent and well presented, but I felt that it was quite pricey and that a 15% reduction would have been nearer the mark. Staff: all were friendly and very helpful. The range of beers in teh bard was rather poor though bar staff were friendly, in keeping with the hotel staff generally.

This was our 4th visit in 2 years. This hotel gives you that touch of Downton Abby while having a modern/stylish spa. Any business is only as good as the staff working there, Netherwood staff are amazing. From receptionist through to barman/waiting staff/housekeeping to ground staff. Everyone is polite, friendly, efficient and will do anything they can to help. Our room looked out over the gardens and onto the sea which was beautiful, very clean and really well lit which can be a problem for me in some older houses. The town is a short walk along promenade which you will find the best chocolate shop going called Chocolori. Definitely a must if you like anything chocolate related from cakes to cocktails. We visited the spa and restaurant after running an ultra marathon in Lakeland. The spa was great, but the highlight were the front of house team at the restaurant, who went out of their way to celebrate the run with us. They even bought complimentary sparkling to the table - very thoughtful indeed!

We had a lovely stay. The staff were wonderful - friendly and efficient Everything that we requested prior to our stay was done. We arrived early but were made to feel welcome. Reception staff were excellent on arrival and at check out. The bar and restaurant staff were knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable. The food was delicious.

My Wife and I stayed for one night Sunday 11th August. What a fabulous hotel. The rooms are lovely especially with a view of the estuary. Abbi on reception was brilliant and really helpful to us as are all the restaurant staff. We had a lovely room with a very comfy bed. All of the food in the restaurant was superb. A beautiful hotel with lots of period architecture and lovely grounds to walk in. We had a super time and will definitely stay again in the future. Many thanks Paul & Anne Johnson From Derbyshire

What a beautiful and amazing hotel, we went for afternoon to celebrate my Mother In-Laws 80th Birthday. The surrounding gardens are stunning and the inside of the hotel is beautiful. The afternoon tea was lovely and they accommodated 2 not liking the salmon and cream cheese sandwiches. Will definitely recommend and go again.
