Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Grandville-Grand Rapids West, MI

This was our second use of a Springhill suites hotel in the Grand Rapids area. The hotel is a newer property. The entire facility was spotless. Breakfast was no more than adequate but as an inclusion it was "priced right."

Booked 2 rooms for my family of four and my mom and sis for a trip to the zoo. Had a quiet stay but housekeeping could do better. When entering our room the ice bucket had 2 used cups inside of it also the shower bottom was black (maybe stained but off putting) The pool area was out of towels and was only refilled when another family went and asked. People willing to work is hard to come by these days it seems so figure that is the main problem. They were courteous and helpful when asked questions.

Was a decent stay. Traffic is a little scary getting in and out of the parking lot with a small trailer. Hot tub didn't work. Coffee wasn't ready at 6am as advertised. Its reasonably clean and a decent stop.

Checked in tonight into Jacuzzi suite. It was not clean and reported to front desk. No other jacuzzi rooms available. Went back, night tables nasty, TV had dried up splatter, refrigerator had some type of dried up substance in it from a spill. Front desk clerk called the manager who told the front desk clerk to clean the room. I was denied a refund for a room that the manager herself probably wouldn’t have wanted to occupy. I am a Rewards member and have stayed here before without incident. My room should have been in better condition than that. I could not even begin to sleep in a bed when the rest of the room was not clean. ESPECIALLY during COVID precautions. How bad was it? I walked away from a room I am being charged $175. My peace is worth more. I am highly disappointed. You all could have done better than that. The manager did not even talk to me personally AND the clerk went and verified the condition of the room. Last time coming to this property.

Paid a lot of money for a glitchy tv, scuffed up bathtub that looked like there was poop stains all over it, very unappealing, and cups cups seems to be reused black particles in every mixed drink we would make.

The check in was horrible. The lady spoke barely above a wisper. Sent us to our room that was not even finished being cleaned (mind you the whole floor was empty because the clean rooms all had open doors ready for customers) so we had to stand in the hallway with our luggage until the lady finished cleaning our room. Come to find out she never had us sign some paper that you chose how often you wanted the room clean. We returned from our conference to find our trash emptied and that day only shampoo & conditioner and soap. We asked at the front desk the next morning at 8:00 am why the room wasn't cleaned. The new nice lady gave us this form to fill out and we did for complete cleaning. Once again we returned that night after our conference only to find our trash emptied. NO soap, No toilet paper (no toilet paper from the day we arrived mind you) and no shampoo or conditioner and the room again not cleaned. So the next morning I told the lady at the desk what had happened and she said it was given to housekeeping early the prior day and she had no idea why it wasn't done. We had to use the main lobby bathroom because ours was out of toilet paper. The whole thing was horrible. I will never stay here again, and next year when me and my staff attend this same conference, we will be finding another brand of hotel chain to stay at. There is not a toilet paper shortage. And it should not be that hard to communicate with the guest to how often the room is cleaned and what is expected. What a joke they call customer service. This will not happen to me or my staff again, I can promise that.

I was greeted when I walked in. Was given all the info I needed, including an explanation of the hold on my card for incidentals. Our room keys would not work on first try. Front desk switched us to a different room, just in case something was wrong with the mechanism. The room was clean, plenty of towels, and mostly comfortable. Breakfast was okay. Typical continental breakfast. Wish they offered some protein choices. Did not use the pool but looked nice when we walked by it. I would stay there again.

Very pleasant stay! The room was satisfyingly clean & it smelled clean too! Friendly staff from the front desk to the kitchen/breakfast worker. I stayed in a corner end room on the third floor, where it was quiet my whole stay. Extremely easy access & directions to and from the freeway

This property is basically OK. The only concern that was evident deals directly with the room I occupied (223). The property was basically clean however, this room was not. Upon check in, I re quested a 1st floor room. I was told the only room available like I requested was on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Accepting a 2nd floor room I registered and went to the room. After settling in, I decided to shower. When entering the shower, I noticed a depressed bottle of shampoo and opened/used bar of soap! Being rather tired I used a cloth to remove the items and then proceeded to shower. Later that night as I was trying to fall asleep, I heard water running. It sounded like it was running from the room above me down thru the headboard of the bed, it was very loud!. Agin in the morning around 5:30AM it happened again. Later that morning I informed the front desk staff of the water noise and asked if there was a different room. I was told "they never heard that before" but, they would report it to maintenance. That's the last I heard. Will I stay there again? Maybe but not in room 223.
