HiTide Hostel

Chinches/ bedbugs Llegamos a HiTide por nuestra reserva vacacional el día 28 de junio, la cual ya estaba pagada de forma online, y nos quisieron volver a cobrar porque no tenían ningún tipo de organización ni de conocimiento de dicha reserva. La chica de recepción no hablaba español, y con cada problema nos dejaba a la espera para preguntar al manager, Max, el cual no nos facilitó su número. Ya de inicio nos pareció que había falta de limpieza, nos dieron una habitación diferente a la que habíamos reservado. A la noche, cuando nos disponíamos a dormir, nos empezó a picar todo, encendimos la luz y teníamos una plaga de bichos (creemos que chinches) en el cabecero de la cama. Eran cerca de las 2am, nos facilitaron otra habitación en la planta de abajo y también tenía los mismos bichos. Terminamos “no durmiendo” en medio de un pasillo hasta la hora de poder ir a lavar la ropa, perdiendo así nuestra excursión planificada de vacaciones.

They have bedbugs… In order to solve the problem they don’t hire a professional exterminator, but rather lock the room once a week for 5-6hours (without letting anyone know in advance) and spray poison on everything, including all your personal stuff. After this everything reeks of poison for an incredibly long time. 2. Literally every piece of furniture is broken. The beds are falling apart in the middle of the night, which causes a lot of noise. 3. For some inexplicable reason, you’ll find cheaper prices on every other platform than the hostels own website. 4. There is construction in the house right next to the hostel (they tear down the house, so it will take a couple months at least), so it’s perfect if you like noise every morning.

I have one word; AWESOME. The location could not be more perfect, the vibe in the hostel and the volunteers working there just make you want to stay longer. If you are looking for a five star luxury hotel, go somewhere else, but if you are looking for a chill place with good vibes and the friendiest staff and most awesome location for a CRAZY CHEAP PRICE; this is your place. I loved every second of my stay and i cannot wait to return someday!
