I thought I had posted this back in July! My kids (7&10) and I had the most incredible experience at French Leave. Keshan, Karrell, Kizzy and Wayland all took care of us! We had a two bedroom oceanfront villa that was gorgeous. The kids loved their meals as did I - the chef did an amazing job accommodating my shellfish allergy. We were there for 6 days and went to the beach every, single, day. So much fun and such an adventure with the golf carts. I disagree it’s not a good place for kids - it just depends on the age of the kids. I think for ages 6 and up it’s great. It would be tricky less than that - only one smallish pool and lots of hazards. Personally I’m not a fan of huge resorts - if you are - this is likely not the place for you. If you want endless jaw dropping beauty and to disconnect with your toes in the sand - it’s for you 💜 I agree the service in the restaurant was slow sometimes, but our room service was almost always within 30 mins and always delivered with a smile. I never waited more than 10 mins for our pool drinks or snacks. And honestly - you are not there to rush! We did an incredible private boat tour up at the north end of the island which was a fun adventure for the kids. Yes go get some supplies at the market - and keep your food in the fridge. Normal for a tropical climate - there are critters all around. I also packed some mac and cheese ;) Burrows was best in my view for the markets. The staff were all amazing! From the prep emails to dealing with issues for us onsite. I can’t say enough. We will be back for sure!!!!
