We just completed a 5 night hiking trip around the Mt Hood & Columbia River Valley area. We are Best Western members and we booked 3 different BW hotels in the area. I must say that Best Western hotels seem to upping their game! Of course, this isn't a "5 Star" hotel, but I gave it 5 stars for this price point. This BW property isn't a BW "Plus," but they act like one. The property was upgraded/updated in recent years and it shows. They are doing a fine job maintaining the property. NOTE: We were on the 1st floor and I am guessing this was the pet-free floor. We accidentally went to the 2nd floor once and I seemed a bit musty in the hallway, so I wondered if that was the pet friendly floor -- just wondering... Our standard king room was very large, with lots of storage space, a wet bar (with a small bar sink) small refrigerator, coffee maker & microwave. All that was missing were wall hooks. The bedding was excellent! We were there 2 nights/2 days, but I would definitely be happy to stay there longer, given the room size and accommodations. The entire staff, across all shifts were very friendly and helpful -- EXCELLENT. The breakfast was complete and fresh and the coffee was great. They also have "grab & go" items if you can't wait for the hot items at 7AM. If you're there in the winter, they do have (limited) under building parking. To the management & staff: Great job! A++++
