Elsa's is a great place to stay in the Schoodic Peninsula. We wanted a home base to explore Acadia and discovered how great Schoodic is; less crowded, has an incredibly beautiful coastline and has good restaurants. Elsa's Inn was lovely - the rooms were very comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed, the breakfasts are yummy, the location is scenic (right across the water from a harbor with lobster boats), and it's within an easy drive to several restaurants, and great hiking. It's quiet and beautiful. Best of all is Gail, the host - she is very gracious and welcoming, very knowledgeable and helpful if you need tips, and clearly cares about her guests and Schoodic itself. Her yard is eco friendly, full of native plants and pollinator plants that were blooming beautifully when we visited. It was lovely to sit on the porch and chill in the evening. I highly recommend this area, and Elsa's.

Cute little place with a comfortable bed and nice shower. Gorgeous views over the water across the street. The room had a microwave and fridge but both were tiny: fridge was big enough for a few sodas or beers. Towels smelled strongly of mildew. The washer needs a seasonal cleaning.
Breakfast sounded amazing from the reviews and was a major factor in picking this place, but it’s only served starting at 8 and I had to leave for a meeting both mornings before that. I was offered coffee and toast, which was not quite the full breakfast that I’d been so excited about.

We loved everything about our stay. Gail was very personable and made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was amazing! Room overlooked the harbor. You could watch the fishing boats and sunrise right from your room. Perfect place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of life.
