Unsere gebuchtes und bestätigte Doppelzimmer war vergeben. Als Ersatz wurde uns ein riesiges,kalte 4-Bett-Zimmer und eine Wohnung in einem Nebenobjekt, einige 100 Meter abseits der Pension angeboten. Wir haben uns für die Wohnung entschieden. Diese ist nur durch ein verwinkeltes Treppenhaus und eine sehr steile Treppe zu erreichen. Diese erfordert auch ohne Gepäck eine erhöhte Trittsicherheit. Die Wohnung besteht aus kleinem Flur, 2 sehr kleinen Zimmern und ein geräumiges Bad. Das Bad hatte eine gute Duschkabine, ein winziges Waschbecken und als einzige Lichtquelle die Spiegelschrankbeleuchtung. In einem Zimmer befand sich ein Kühlschrank und ein winziger, alter Fernseher (Schrott), deshalb war auch nur Platz für eine Sitzmöglichkeit. Für ältere Reisende, wie wir, nicht zu empfehlen. Die Räumlichkeiten waren alle sauber, das Personal freundlich und das Frühstück gut.

Aufgrund einer Geschäftsreise hielt ich mich dort ein paar Tage auf. Mein erster Eindruck war allerdings schlecht. Da ich recht spät ankam, war die Rezeption bereits geschlossen. Nach einer etwas unerfreulichen Diskussion am Anfang konnte ich dann doch noch einchecken. Das Hostel liegt aber recht günstig - in der Nähe der Brücke nach Polen. Die Unterkunft ist sauber und man bekommt alles Nötige dort. Die Möbel sind nicht neu, doch für solch einen Preis ist das akzeptabel. Weder Frühstück noch Internetgebrauch ist im Preis eingeschlossen. Das Frühstück an sich ist OK. Wenn man sich jedoch dort länger aufhält, fängt man wahrscheinlich irgendwann an, von etwas Warmen zu träumen... Insgesamt kann ich dieses Hostel aber empfehlen.

Problemlos, unkompliziert und sauber. Wer allerdings Ruhe sucht, sollte nach einem Zimmer in den oberen Etagen fragen. Verschlossener Fahrradabstellraum ist vorhanden. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und wird ständig aufgefüllt. Das Hotel liegt unmittelbar an der Lausitzer Neiße und in etwa 10 min ist man zu Fuß im Zentrum. Tipp: Das Kartoffelhaus.

Picobello Pension is right nest to the border river to Poland, almost 2 kilometres från Görlitz railway station but close to the centre area. This hotel is more like a hostel. The reception is in a separate building and the hotel is in and old grey building. The damp smell hits you when opening the door. Negatives - Uncomfortable bed. - Wi-Fi is 3€ per day, but the signal did not even reach my room. (A hotel where you are supposed to pay for Wi-Fi 2019 will hopefully be out of business soon.) - Breakfast is 6€. - Everything you might need during your stay, basic things like soap and shampoo is SOLD in the reception. - No air-conditioning. - Checkout is already at 10 am. Positives: - Calm. Sheets and towel are included in the price. Picobello Pension market themselves as “stay for 16€ per night”, which I assume is per person in a shared room. But I would say that the hotel is worth not more than 16€ per room… Go 50 meters longer across the bridge to Poland and stay there for less and with better quality.

Die Pension liegt direkt am Fluss, die Brück nach Polen liegt 100m entfernt. Wer also zum Essen nach Zgorzelec gehen möchte, ist in 2 min drüben. Dort ist alles noch viel preiswerter. Die Pension selbst ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, ist aber sauber und das Personal hilfsbereit. Es gibt leider kein Internet. Um WLAN zu nutzen bin ich jeweils in ein Café gegangen. Alles in allem ist die Pension sicher ok.

Einfache, saubere Pension mit einer hervorragenden Lage an der Altstadtbrücke und kurzem Weg mitten in die Görlitzer Altstadt. Das Frühstück lässt viele Wünsche offen, da es lediglich das absolute Minimum an Auswahl bereithält. Kein Frühstücksei, Kein Joghurt.

Well located next to the border river. City centers on both sides of the border are within walking distance. Room is large, bathroom is ok although at least soap would be nice addition. Staff is friendly and helpful and price was ok. Good for 1 or 2 nights.
