room was a little jaded (curtains not well arranged, window had a beading missing, and the bathroom was just a little past its prime) and the tea/coffee hidden in a cupboard (why?) and there was only one sachet of hot choc and one pack of biscuits for two occupants - but the bed was huge, and we loved the two bottles of still & sparkling water which met our two preferences! These days a couple of charging points would also be welcome.
Chosen for location so can't fault that - and the lovely doorman (the local cat) was an absolute asset to the hotel.
Would book again.

Lovely clean comfortable hotel in a perfect location. Breakfast was excellent. Brilliant sea views. Good bar. Friendly, helpful staff.

Only visited the restaurant but glad we did. Was delicious and very well priced! Staff were lovely and the restaurant itself was nice inside. Suspect on a summers day it would be gorgeous to sit outside and take in the sea views however was a little windy for us. Still sea views from our table!

Popped in for tea and a scone, waited 45 minutes and walked out in which time a couple had already walked out due to flies in the vinegar , which they had spread on their lunch. We even had to ask to be served, meanwhile people who had walked in 35 minutes after us had received their drinks, all stinks of bad management and organisation. Attitude was also as bad as the service, used to be a nice place but avoid now.

Booked for lunch on a very hot day and we moved to a table in the shade. Nice friendly staff and lovely sandwich. The location is lovely and the restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. All in all a very enjoyable lunch at the gorgeous Cliff hotel. Thank you.

Went late afternoon for a bite to eat. Menu expensive and no real choice for a light bite. I ordered the Chicken Ceasar Salad which must have had at least two gem lettuce, some grated parmesan and some overcooked croutons. The chicken breast was plonked on top deep fried and overcooked and dry. A great disappointment for a £17.00 salad! My friend had the chicken burger. Again the chicken was overcooked and was returned for a plain grilled chicken breast. The chips were also overcooked. The best thing about the visit was the staff and the view.

Poor service! Staff walking off in between serving us. Staff chatting and laughing with each other instead of serving customers. Service was so slow! Drinks came about 20mins after ordering! Coffee luke warm, no complimentary biscuit like the pier gives you. Won’t be coming back!
