Albergo 5 stelle, ma le camere (e i prezzi) nelle Barchesse a mio parere sono 4 stelle. Personale gentilissimo e disponibilissimo. Ambienti puliti e curati. Giardino stupendo. Molti ambienti sono volutamente rustici. E qc problema lo creano, perchè camminare nell'acciotolato dei portici e nel prato (bagnato dalla pioggia dei gg precedenti) con i tacchi a spillo è una bella sfida. Provare per credere. Non ho molto gradito neanche l'ambiente dove si fa colazione che è l'ex cantina, con pavimento in battuto di cemento un po' sconnesso, tavoloni in legno senza tovaglie (e dove appoggi le posate???), arredo recuperato dalla storia. Sono luoghi che non mi danno l'impressione di poter essere igienizzati a dovere. Colazione: buffet molto curato, pasticceria squisita. Buffet salato molto vario, ben fatto, con tartine e finger food veramente squisiti Ristorante gourmet: ll primo era buono, così anche il secondo. Nessuno dei miei commensali ha gradito le verdure di contorno che erano tipo pezzettoni di melanzana semicruda, zucchine appena scottate, carotona lessa. Non chiedete poi menu vegano, perchè vi servono sempre verdure semicrude senza neppure un filo d'olio, tipo dieta dimagrante. Ma perchè? Graditissimo buffet di frutta fresca e di pasticcini deliziosi.

Just when we think we have seen it all, when after decades of traveling, thousands of nights and hundred thousands of air miles we thought we’ve learned about every method of getting your guests out of the room before checkout time, the Villa Foscarini topped it … they cut the power to the room at 1100! But first things first…. On check in, one of us got only 1 key, the hotel ran out of cards. In order to heat up the room, one must leave the card in the room - so after dinner front desk must escort you to the room, to open the door. At night - if you travel in the cold season - you will either have to freeze, or endure the heater-ventilator to switch on/off every 15min The hotel quotes check out at 1100 (!)… but says if you stay till 1200, it is free of charge At 1144 - Chiara from the front desk called, to ask if we actually planned to leave. She was told that the getting ready process took longer, because the electricity was cut in the room (no light!) …. Chiara said, this is standard practice of the hotel. Never seen that …. and likely will never see it again, at least not here. No pictures of the room, as it was dark - but a photo from the outside of the door, the last thing we saw, and of Chiara’s old & shabby empty chair, while she was searching for someone of the management - we usually give them an opportunity to make a statement before posting a negative experience - but they were busy doing something else. Definitely not a 5-Star experience!

Horrible service. Checked in only to come back later as the lights and electricity went off Turns out that the front desk did not register me correctly. No F&B on Sundays so had to walk for 20 minutes to get dinner - was told it would be 8 minutes. On Monday, the restaurant opens at 7pm. They had a massive group with only 2 wait staff! I was made to sit in the restaurant while no one would even acknowledge me. Had to leave and survive the evening on chips and peanuts! The bed is so uncomfortable that I woke up with sore pains. No hand soap in the bathroom. Please do NOT stay here!!

Its the only hotel in the world where they don't have paper tissues as an amenity, and if you ask also then they don’t have.
I enjoy the charming atmosphere.
Bed in our room was small for two people.
