Premier Inn Paignton (Goodrington Sands)

Hotel was ok, im not a fan of paying to park your car at a hotel youre staying at . Wifi and air con were both very poor, with a hot and stuffy room. Room could have been cleaned better before we arrived. Hotel located on the beach and overall we enjoyed our stay. We were sent an email saying we could possibly check in for 11am, but the receptionist wouldnt allow it.

Room was lovely and comfortable. Disappointed in the parking charge even for blue badge holders. The premier inn on brixham road do not charge.

We loved this Premier Inn, would definitely return. We paid a little extra for a sea view family room & I am really glad we did as room 106 was spacious with a beautiful view of the bay. A comfortable night sleep & good breakfast in the Brewers Fayre. We came by train & it was a 20 minute walk from Paignton Station. All the staff were lovely, we will definitely return.

Check in was not what you expect. Your website states ask if early checkin available. We didn’t expect to be spoken to as we were. Very understaffed and stressed but don’t nag to the customer. Not really the point that your manager is in Hawaii and you had to run upstairs & down four times because guests keep buzzing. The next afternoon we needed towels and a different member of staff was just slumped in a chair chatting to a friend. Being told that one of the housekeepers had walked out and watch out for the mess on arrival too. On entering the room, the bed had a wrong size sheet and no pillowslip. Run down hotel and the restaurant needs a complete makeover and staff who give better service. Probably the worst Premier Inn experience we have had. It’s not cheap and cheerful. Overpriced for what we got!

We stayed here from 17th -24th May 2025. The hotel was comfortable and facilities (Restaurant) were excellent. The staff were amazingly helpful especially Julie (Reception) who noticed we were older and suggested a different room in the main building so as not to climb 2 sets of stairs in the outer building (no lift). Julie immediately changed our room . This was wonderful personal service. We didn't request this change of room but she immediately drew it to our attention. Thank you

Great service at hotel from staff. Room was excellent, clean and great sea-view. Breakfast buffet is recommended, the day it was cooked to order was disappointing and not value for money. Have stayed here many times, great position and great staff both friendly and extremely helpful. My only gripe is the £7.50 per night car parking charge, would have expected a discounted rate as staying at hotel.
