**Terrible Experience - Stay Away!** I had an awful stay at the La Quinta Inn in Gonzales, TX. The moment we checked in, we were horrified to find **bugs falling from the air vents** and crawling all over the floors. Walking around the room was nearly impossible without stepping on them! It was absolutely disgusting. They didn’t provide daily room service, which made things worse. When we asked about switching rooms, we were not only denied but **charged $50 extra per night**, despite booking a month in advance. Meanwhile, last-minute guests seemed to get better rooms than we did. The management here is a joke. The manager was clearly coached to **spin excuses** for the owners, and she admitted knowing about the issues we faced but did nothing to resolve them. It felt like they were trying to cover things up rather than fix them. The final straw came on our last night. We waited 10 minutes just to buy a bag of chips, and nobody showed up at the front desk. Frustrated, I took the chips and asked them to bill it to my room, as is standard at most hotels. Instead, they knocked on my door immediately, demanding I pay upfront! I’ve never seen such poor customer service in any hotel. The entire experience was disappointing. I love Gonzales, and the local community is great, but this hotel was a total disaster. I would not recommend staying here if you value cleanliness, decent service, or respect as a paying guest.
