Nur eine Nacht, war trotz Lage an der Strasse ruhig. Bad und Zimmer waren sauber. Das Nachtessen war sehr gut, preislich im Rahmen. Die Kirche läutet offenbar nur tagsüber ab und zu, nachts war Ruhe. Auch die naheliegende Bahnlinie ist kein Problem.

Der Bären in Gonten ist ein super Hotel für diverse Aktivitäten in und um Appenzell. Wir haben das verlängerte Wochenende mit Wandern im Alpstein verbracht. Man könnte aber auch Golfen oder im Winter diverse Aktivitäten im Schnee machen.

This property was a great option if you are trying to enjoy the Appenzell area. The room was well appointed and we had two separate sleeping areas. The breakfast buffet was excellent. I have never had more options in a breakfast that is included. The hotel is a 1-2 minute walk to the train so it was extremely convenient. The staff took care of all of our needs while we were there. Highly recommend this hotel.

The young lady working reception was very kind, friendly and informative. She shared helpful information regarding the area and made recommendations. She provided great customer service. Room was very hot but this is a very old building. Breakfast was vwry good.

Tolles Hotel mit freundlichem Personal inkl. sehr feinem Essen - wir kommen wieder! Die Umgebung ist einzigartig und wir wurden überall freundlich begrüsst und verwöhnt. Mit dem Ferienpass konnten wir so viele Highlights geniessen und das Reisen war so bequem im Appenzellerland.

Wunderbar! Der Aufenthalt in diesem rundum empfehlenswerten Hotel war ein Genuss! Das Essen war grossartig, das Zimmer perfekt sauber, das Personal so herzlich und freundlich, dass man unbedingt wieder kommen will! Ein Must für die Erkundung von Appenzell!

Wir haben alles genossen, das Hotel ist wirklich sehr gepflegt und das Personal ist top, freundlich und sehr professionell.Der Ort ist magisch und die Küche ausgezeichnet, vom Abendessen bis zum Frühstück. Die Wellness-Ecke ist ebenfalls sehr entspannend.

Absolut zu empfehlen für Konferenzen und grössere Meetings. Zimmer, Service und Küche einwandfrei, natürlich holzbetonte Atmosphäre und alle Annehmlichkeiten vorhanden, die man sich wünschen kann. Wir freuen uns bereits auf den nächsten Besuch!
