The property is located outside of Golden town in a remote area, so a car is definitely required. It's a lovely quaint spot away from the hustle and bustle of nearby tourism, however it's not convenient if you want to just pop in to town. The lodge itself is clean and staff are very welcoming. Breakfast was very basic but enough to get you going for the day.

Needs attention
The lodge needs some care and attention. The front is full of weeds and the Christmas decorations are still up. We were asked to pay extra at check in due to a new “tax”. We had already paid in full up front so declined. The rooms were very basic but clean. Nice to have a dining space but it needs to be monitored (tables wiped, dishes removed). The continental breakfast was short on items-every day of our 3 day stay. Day 2 no coffee, orange juice, fruit or yogurt by 8:00 am. I asked for items to be replenished for other guests.

Great family stay
This place was wonderful, quiet, tucked away in the woods. Comfortable and perfect for our 2 families. We all had hot showers and plenty of comfortable bed space.

Lovely spot, less than comfy sleep
This lodge is in a beautiful location. It's an older building and very pretty. The beds in our room were very hard and we did not have very comfortable sleeps. Mattresses are certainly personal preference, however I was surprised at them given the cost of the stay. Breakfast in the morning was simple but good.

Endroit très zen. Lit confortable. L’habitation est à 7 km de l’autoroute, dont 3.5 km sur de la gravelle. Le déjeuner était ordinaire, semblable à un auberge de jeunesse.
Le long détour de l’autoroute pour s’y rendre ne vaut pas le coût.

Common areas were great, we especially enjoyed the game room :D the place has nice, calm energy. Bedroom is ok, all what you need.
Due to mosquitos we could not fully enjoy the outside seating options :(

Lugar sossegado no meio da natureza
Hotel fica afastado da cidade cerca de 5 km numa estrada de chão. Lugar bem reservado e no meio da natureza. Pelo valor da diária o café da manhã deveria ser melhor. As roupas de cama estavam limpas mas poderiam ser de melhor qualidade.

A great place to hide from the cityscape
Clean and very quite place. It’s ideal for a couple and family. Breakfast was great. Rooms are simple and clean. It’s 10 minutes to get here from hwy 1.
