Roundabout Inn Gloucester

We came here for dinner based on a local's recommendation. They were spot on. Food was awesome, one of the best steaks I have ever eaten and the crumbed cutlets were awesome. The place was very busy but this did not reduce the quality. Word to the wise, book during holidays. The restaurant was very busy and lots were turned away, we thanked our lucky stars we had booked earlier in the day.

Stayed here overnight before surgery at the local hospital. The room was old and minimal effort had been made to enhance it. The bathroom was small (but the shower cubicle was large). The toilet sat crooked in the bathroom just so the door could open. The sink was half hanging off the wall and the under mirror shelf above that had half fallen off. Nothing had been fixed. There was no hanging cupboard space and the touch lamps kept shorting out when being used. On the bright side, the staff were very helpful, both during booking and after we arrived. Might be okay for a one night stay, but if it's comfort you're looking for I would suggest paying a little bit extra and staying somewhere else.

Meals, drinks, and staff were excellent in the hotel. The accommodation was below average. The room was very old and poorly finished, though the profile said rooms were newly renovated. Linen clean but no hand towel provided. Woke at 5am and killed 2 large cockroaches, 3 others escaped. There were no screens on windows or doors, so I couldn't let fresh air in without mosquitoes and flys also. Room positioned close to food store, bins and kitchen garbage.

Great. Nice shade trees in the courtyard areas, plenty of space to sit in, good pub food, clean and modern spaces, great staff. Had the calamari and also the whiting dishes, fresh as fresh salad. Recommend

Enjoyed dinner at The Roundabout Inn two nights in June, absolutely the best pizza and steak we have had for a long time, staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was warm. Plenty of beers on tap, Quick service on a busy night. Thankyou

Nice Pub with a busy Bistro at dinner. Friendly staff and good bar service Good location easy walk to cafes for coffee and breakfeast. very disapointed at the size and layout of bathroom - very pokey and poor water pressure.
